What's up with all these non-felon young folks not voting?

Anybody got any answers.

Explain to them that not voting in state/local elections leads to direct impact on their lives in 4-6 yr. increments sometimes less if the crappy guy gets voted out, not voting in presidential leads to decisions that'll screw them over for the next 30+ yrs. Exhibit A.....

Now if you got a plan to move out and working on it I'm not mad at a brother for living with his folks. White folks been doing it for years. I know a guy who lives with his folks but owns 3 duplexes of apartments. His parents are about to sell their home, with the profits he is going to build a home for himself and build them an in-law quarters.

Yet, I know what you are saying some cats just LAZY!!!!
Oh I believe whites are far more lazy but here's the difference. They can afford to do it. They can have an unexplained unemployment gap in their work history or be a sex offender and still get a good job. But for us you can have the credentials certifications and impeccable work ethic and that white bum will beat you to that job. So knowing that why take the risk of being lazy an make it harder on yourself.

Now this clown gutted the voting rights act rewinding time. Again a consequence of folks not voting.

These Southern Conservatives Are Scared for Another Reason:

A lot of Black People who grew up and were raised in the South are moving out of the Southern Region for Jobs, etc.

What is going to stop these same Blacks from moving back home in the South and running for Public Office I.e. The Haley Barbour Method.

The Whites are fearful they are losing control....which they are.

They are also fearful of blacks finally getting sense to vote. By using Voter ID laws and limited access to get ID's but they don't have to try that hard considering some of the excuses these negroes make to not vote.

Kendrick...WOW. Now for an educated man in a position to potentially make a difference via the media..and you don't? That is downright damn disappointing.

The only thing I, or anyone else, can do is be as informed as possible when voting and encourage others to do so, not necessarily encourage people to vote or don't vote, because it's more than that.

Whatever decision you make just be informed about it. The majority of people aren't -- even the crew who votes out of obligation to dead Civil Rights leaders.

I have done a lot of reading, listening, and researching and asking questions about candidates, issues and initiatives they've supported or denounced, what their stances are, etc.

That's how I've gone about it for a number of years.

And that's why I'm not going to vote in the presidential election, because when I look at all that, none of them are worthy of a vote.

And there isn't anyone or anything that can change that.

I guess this is your stance huh? lol

Thanks for voting for the winner.

I don't agree with you often, but I agree with you here Kendrick. Nothing sickens me more than when someone tries to misconstrue the civil rights movement as a reason that you have to vote. No one died for me to have to vote, they died for us to have the choice and participate in the electoral process as we choose or even as we don't choose. I'll be damned if you put a bunch of bullsh*t candidates in front of me and tell me that I have to make a choice and support one. I'm not under the illusion that the way whites or anyone else treats me will ever changed based on who is in the white house. The Raegan era doesn't have to come back because only a fool believes that the Reagan era ever ended.

There is a reason why "how do I move to Canada" was the most searched topic by whites these past few weeks.

Part of the reason why most young folks don't care to vote-they look at local elections and see the same worthless black folks-lie, cheat, steal and everything else stay in office. All they do is look at the camera and sometime yell racism or black thugs matter-which is good enough to get reelected in LANDSLIDES. They don't even have to waste tons of money to campaign.

Folks have to die before someone else can get in. Something is not right folks have to leave the hood and live with white folks and get into office.

It's a damn shame for educated people to say some of the dumb shit that's being type on this board.

The next President at the very least will pick the next TWO supreme court justices that will more then likely have an impact on you and the entire country for the rest of your life. But it doesn't effect you.

Unphugging believable

They don't care but will be the first to bitch when they start taking their public assistance back.

You do realize passing the media bill is something the Republican party really wants to do, while the wall is actually just talk. Federal policy matters just like state and local. For instance the same people who hate the ACA have their kids on their insurance until 25 now. When I was younger you got dropped at 18. Now that the ACA was passed people can't be dropped because of terminal illness. One day you will be faced with elders in your family and those decisions will matter to you then.

Trump and the conservatives want to legislate a new law that will reverse Sullivan v NY Time. A case that originates in Montgomery where the Chief of Police started taken Bus Boycott leaders possessions for payment of finds incurred from the protest. The Times reported the incident. Sullivan sued and won a libel case against the Times in state court and was awarded Millions in damage. The U.S. Supreme Court reverse the state decision and establishes standards in regard to the press and public figures.

They also want to figure out a way to keep you from filming the police when they are whooping our ass. They also want to make more charter schools to replace public schools giving them the power to select who they want in their school at the same time redrawing district lines to make their choices easier. Now what group you think will be affected by this? Jim Crow Jr. is coming back.

I have to LOL at folks who act like life is gonna stop because they won't vote. Nope, it's gonna go ahead and you will have to navigate it based on the decisions made by others. I don't understand all this sideline living...I am FULLY in the middle of mine, doing all I can to navigate that sucker in the direction I want to see it.
