Let's say if you say "aint worried about nothing" was the best song..then why is Holy Grail that was played on the same night..has more views on Youtube and any other band site..(bandhead) Lol...I mean over 100k plus views on one persons upload LOL..help me out with that logic...I mean the better song would have more views ehh?

Let's breakdown another thing you stated...recycled drills..but I've yet to see any school make the score on the field Lol..I've seen the floating JSU how many times..how many times that drill is done? don't answer..
The JSWHOO drill/formation was new..I never seen that one before..have you?? (crackin the f up ) Lmao

SU is overpowered and unbalance but yet folks (famous ones at that) seem to give them boys props every time you look around...I mean everybody else plays their songs too..why not comment about other bands Lol..but I'll leave that you to think on...

Has any entertainer commented on a selection by the boom??

My point exactly a weak joke yal hanging yal hat on because the rest of that drill was very unforgettable that night. that's only 15% of yal show that you remember? I remember when people said " I never seen that show before" nowadays yal just get excited over a joke ? hmm that should tell you something that halftime isn't all that at southern ... aye look im tired of making you look like fool even your own juke supporters stopped backing you that should tell you something...

How can you say SU is mediocre? I still not following that logic. Or folks praising it? SU band members only compare themselves to previous editions of SU Band. It has always been that way. It is more noise talking between eras than it is against other bands. Heck you don't even have one current Juke or recent Juke on this board. They really don't care/

If you want to be real. NONE OF THESE BANDS are doing anything earth shattering. Not one band. Folks breaking down sections is high schoolish. All this blowing in the stands is all folks care about now. Folks have forgotten how to be a marching band. At least SU still tries to do that well. When some band shows me a smoking drill playing and picking their feet up with some emotion. Then they can talk. PV is the only band I think is better than their old school era. Everybody else is way farther off from their best ever editions of their programs. SU has been the most consistent at doing what they do and not trying to be anybody else but SU. They have kept their identity. Other bands seemingly have lost theirs. Changed their whole way of doing things. I will give Gram their credit as well. Like them or not. They still are Grambling and don't take folks stuff or do anything but be Grambling. FAMU is the same way. All this arguing who is number 1 is crazy. If you really want to criticize somebody's band. Take a look at what your own band looked like in the 80s and compare them to what they look like now. If your band is better than that era or almost as good. Then you can probably talk.

Every band needs to improve. Including SU. The Boom ain't the same Boom I grew up on. No where near it. Old school Boom half the new school Boom size would out march and out play these guys. Yeah I feel the same way about my Jukebox too. But the bottom line is I can at least see less changes in my band than I see in others. I feel like Get Ready on this board now. When I see a brand new show top to bottom from any band, then we will have something to talk about. LOL.

Every single band head does not equal JSUers just so you know.

If the battle is based on tradition, why not bring up the other schools SU battles? I mean, there are 8 other schools in the SWAC right?

If you wana talk about a one sided BOTB, what about the Bayou Classic? That battle has way more tradition than the Boombox if you wana go there.

So why focus solely on our band of we "never show up"?

You prob can't honestly even answer these questions without being biased still or having some random, unnecessary answer that still doesn't answer the question.

Bighead is not a Juke. LOL. That's my point. The JUKES that are marching or just finished marching really don't care. None of them post here. Hell, none of the SU recent grads post on here. LOL. So that speaks volumes. It's more of the JSU crew on here than SU crew when it comes to bands. Only a few of us older Jukes who post because we have been here since Kenn started the board. You cats let Bighead rile you up to start saying SU ain't good. When you know better. LOL. The history does not lie. It has been more consistent program than any other HBCU band. Like I said, most of you who arguing never picked up a horn or played a drum in either organization or any HBCU band for that matter.
