Terron Armstead some day among 'best of all-time?

Uh, can you find anyone out there in the league that thinks like you or is that just YOUR personal opinion? These guys are in the league. One has played for them. I'm sure if we ask Chris Ivory, Sproles, Graham, and a few others what they thought about that organization, I'm sure that they would have a few choice words.

Sprole was basically a part-time player, I am not mad about letting him go. We got Brandon Cooks that basically have more to offer. Galette signed with Washington for the league minimum, so it’s not just the Saints who question his worth. As far players who feel underappreciated, I think the problem with the Saints is they are too loyal to their players. They should have sent Jimmy Graham packing a long time ago. I was on here posting they should not have given Graham that big contract and everybody thought I was crazy. But they made up for it by getting an upgrade at center and a first round draft choice at middle linebacker (one that can cover) that’s at least looks like the real deal so far. The Saints cap issues will get straight once somebody has the balls to tell Drew Breese to take less money or you have to roll. Another sub-par season this year that’s going to be easier to do. As for as Sean Payton, he can be on the side lines smoking crack, as long the team is winning I don’t care. But other season like last few, his azz can roll too. With him gone, the Benson won’t have much to argue about. It’s Rita who wants Payton gone. If the Saints have another losing season maybe she is right and the old man needs to step down.

But the question is what will these players say about the organization? When an player leaves an organization and has nothing but good things to say, I think that speaks a lot. Same for the opposite. I just don't think Armstead will get his just desserts being with the Aints. And Armstead is one hell of a player. I like him, just not the organization he plays for.

Looking at it strictly from Terron’s stand point only, he has put himself in a position that if he has a good season he is going to get paid . . . if not the Saints, from somebody else. But as I said earlier, left tackles are hard to come by. He is still young enough to build a team around him. I think the Saints will keep him at all cost especially if Peat turns out to be a bust and an aging Stief gives it up. They won’t have much of a choice. Even if it means getting rid of veteran players that helped win a Super Bowl.

Hold up ... Bushrod got paid and left the Saints for the Bears. Haven't heard him say anything bad about the organization. Also another note: The Saints used to have camp in Wisconsin. So, them being further north for camp isn't really a new concept.

But Beans: You act like the Falcons aren't going to come up against the cap. Matt Ryan alone this season is $19.5 million against the cap. In the final year of that extension ... he's $21.65 million against the cap. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/atlanta-falcons/matt-ryan/

BTW: Julio Jones this year is $10.176 million against the cap ... and it's a contract year for him.

By 2017 or 2018, the Falcons are going to have to figure out what to do with other key young players like Jake Matthews and Desmond Trufant.

We're not J. We don't gamble with the cap. You guys do. Kept giving ALL those back loaded contracts and pushing the money to the end hoping to cut the player before you all had to pay them. Well, it's time to pay the piper.

We stagger our players contracts. Give some back loaded contracts, some up front, some performance based incentives. Our GM knows how to handle contracts.

Um Beans, I'm not a Saints fan. Never have been, or never will be. It's just that they sucked ass all my life until after Katrina ... just like the Falcons.

But back to the subject.
By 2017, the Falcons will be looking for a new "franchise QB"
after this season, Julio Jones may be gone. Roddy White's on his last leg. You guys have some question marks on defense.
Y'all might have a better situation than the Saints in a couple of years capwise ... but both franchises could be in reubild mode in 24 months.

Also, after getting Matt Ryan in the draft ... all the Falcons have done were overinflate expectations of the fan base, underperform on the field and pimp the city of Atlanta and the State of Georgia into building a new stadium to keep up with the Jerry Joneses of the world.

Good for you.

But let me make it clear for you when you talk about the Superbowl bound Falcons. JJ will be a lifetime Falcon. That is already a given based off what JJ wants and what Blank wants. We ALREADY have our Franchised QB. I don't know how old you think MR is, but he's not as old as Brees. We will NOT be in "rebuild" mode after 24 months. We're rebuilding now and you will witness the results. And nothing is "overinflated" concerning our fanbase expectations. If anything, those cowgirls that think EVERY YEAR is their SB year have the overinflated egos. And we don't keep up with anyone. We could careless about a deranged old ass owner/GM that draft thugs and criminals just to win.

Yeah, you got a point there about the Cowboys.

HOORAY TERRON! BLACK & GOLD still in BLACK & GOLD!

@bigmanofds Thanks for posting this!

I like the young man’s character. I follow him on twitter. When the Saints drafted Andrus Peat, it looks like I took it more personal than he did. He was very professional and showed a lot of class on twitter. He said and I am paraphrasing, he struggled towards the end, it was a learning experience and he was ready to move on. He welcomed Peat to the team instead of what a lot of these guys will do by throwing a childish temper tantrum blaming everybody else and not looking in the mirror. That’s the positive attitude that transcends to more than just football. From all indications, he came to training camp ready to work and put it in his mind if Peat takes his spot he was not going to make it easy for him. I hope the best for the young man in the NFL if he is a Saint or not.

That dude keeps showing just how ignorant he is of everything football, and still he keeps putting his foot in his mouth.
