It's too easy to give credit where it's due so some rely on their negatively embedded dna to muster up SUperfluous silly excuses. How mentally sick. smh

PS: I am PRO-wishbone option offense 1000%. Strength + quickness + speed + undisciplined defense = loss by adversary, as evidenced by what AAMU was able to do in year #1 lol

To me, the biggest surprise by Valley was shutting out Southern on national TV. We knew we didn't have a lot of offense but to not only beat SU but not only a single point was shocking.

The JSU win was satisfying but not shocking because we were so close the previous five years but lost at the end (1 point loss, 2 point loss, 2 OT loss, lost by 9 after being tied 17-17 in the 4th quarter)

She sure did, and in doing so, she stepped on some toes of "the good Ole boys" and they didn't appreciate a woman calling the shot.

Pete knew how to defend the option, but our DC convinced Pete that our DE's were quick enough to shut it down without the support of the Safety. AAMU's discipline and execution eventually forced Pete to override the DC and bring the Safeties up for run support.

Forgot about that 24-19 game vs Grambling State. It was cold as "L" that night in the stadium. Most didn't believe but payback was in order since Mr Robinson set the record against us the year prior. I sat through the entire game from 15:00 first qrtr to 00:00 fourth quarter. I was happy for those guys, amidst the dumb coaching they had in place lol coupled w/ the lack of financial support.

Because SU wasn't prepared for the option. You know the offense that closes the talent gap and make teams play assignment football. We sure beat the living shat out of PV and everybody else in the Swac that year.

Oh yes we are sure. Dr Spikes told Casem hell no to Cooley. Casem had brought Cooley on as the OC that year in 92. Remember Casem had to coach the 92 SU team because we had fired Kimble at the Bayou Classic even though we beat Gram that year. LOL. So Casem convinced everyone at SU that Houston Markham was leaving Bama State to come coach SU in 92. Well Markham left us hanging and stayed at Bama State so Casem had no choice but coach that 92 team. He hired Cooley with the intention of having him replacing Casem in 93. The Board was damn near about to approve it and Spikes stood up and said nope. Then she hired Coach Richardson. So we owe Delores Spikes who recently passed away the thanks for Coach being there. Casem had no clout with Dr. Spikes. She didn't play no games.

Yes, su sure did beat the "shat out of everyone else" but what does that SUperfluous statement have to do w/ the fact that AAMU beat southern that year? Connect those dots, if you're mentally capable lol. I know it hurts (the truth). :D

One either has to be too damned dumb or overly irrational not to give credit where credit is due for a loss. Which one are you? And that's not a loaded question. smh

Those guys couldn't coach their way out of a wet paper bag, imho. I wasn't around them much but during the spring, I saw how they ran their shoddy spr practice, if that's what you want to call it. No improvements from year to year (physically for some unless they were self driven) ; the victories in '86 were due to txfers and the inner will and drive of the student-athletes. It was a disservice that PVAMU misrepresented "football" coaches to the former student-players. smh
 
Umm SU yall got whipped by Alcorn last year 56-16 and lost by 15 in the SWAC Championship// JSU lost to SU by 14 points ! Difference and beat Alcorn 34-31! Yall lost by 40 points to Alcorn worst whipping in a long time!

Everyone knows the deal with that first SU vs Alcorn game. SU was short handed. SU could have really beat JSU bad but as usual, worm gets a big lead, and gets conservative, on offense and defense.
