He still has to earn it though Fiyah. We have had some that didn't. As you know,....some come to play ball, but the class room is in the far recesses of their mind.

Interdisciplinary Studies offers students the opportunity to put together their own degree plan program.
I guess that's not "General Studies-ish"?

I see you really don't know what it's about...... It's part of the College of Education
ADMISSION TO TEACHER EDUCATION
As a natural progression through the teacher education program, a student majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies must submit an application for admission into the teacher education program. This is the first checkpoint for teacher candidates on their road to certification.
Admissions applications are accepted three times a year.
Students must meet all of the required criteria in order to be admitted to the Teacher Education program.
Once a student has been accepted into the Teacher Education program they are referred to as Teacher Candidates. They are then allowed to enroll in the CUIN professional pedagogy courses listed on their degree plan.
CERTIFICATION TESTING REQUIREMENT
Teacher Education candidates must pass two (2) state certification examinations in order to be certified to teach: a Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities (PPR) exam and a Content Area exam for the appropriate subject and grade level.
There is nothing GENERAL about any of that
At least if you're gonna go see what types of degrees we offer, please go a little further and see what they are about.
Yes it is when you look at the degree plan without the teaching certification you can get the degree of just Interdiscip. Studies for 120hrs
