Yeah, ULL is loaded this year..........

I am telling ya! The Ragin Cajuns have 60 returning lettermen and 19 starters coming back this season. The entire offensive line has started for 3 years together! That's crazy for any FBS program. Broadway is a good QB and passed for 212 yards per game last season, but the Cajuns had 204 rushing yards per game. Both of there running backs who ran for over 800 yards each are back as well. I look for the Cajuns to give Ole Miss hell this season as well.

That game against OM will be a realistic measuring stick. If ULL win that one, they will get national recognition. I think that is a TV game as well...

NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns first two games of the 2014 football campaign are part of a 13-game slate that will be shown on ESPN3 during the first three weeks of the season, the Sun Belt Conference and ESPN announced on Tuesday.

The Ragin' Cajuns season-opener against Southern on Aug. 30 and their Sept. 6 encounter with Louisiana Tech were part of the early schedule released by the conference office. Kickoff for both games is scheduled for 6 p.m. CDT.

The addition of the first two games of the season to the television schedule increased the Ragin' Cajuns total to six. Games at Ole Miss (Sept. 13, SEC Network), Boise State (Sept. 20, CBS Sports), Texas State (Oct. 14, ESPN2) and Arkansas State (Oct. 21, ESPN2).

On ESPN 3? That's not on TV.

Let's not go overboard. UL-Lafayette will be a solid team again next season, but Ole Miss will have to play pretty crappy to lose to them. There is still a huge talent disparity between the two teams. ULL can beat up on the Sun Belt and FCS teams, but when they step up against the big boys(Don't let that 2012 Florida game fool you) they will get rolled over.

You never know. There are plenty of times when these SEC schools come into these games overconfident against these Sun Belt teams. We have all seen ULM take down Alabama and Arkansas. I remember when Troy had LSU on the ropes and ULL almost beat Florida.

We all know that the talent level in the SEC is on another scale, but what makes these games interesting is when the non BCS l
team brings in a loaded group of experience. ULL has plenty of experienced players.

I don't see the Cajuns beating Ole Miss, but I wouldn't be shocked if they upset the Rebs. I really believe that Hudspeth is going to go all out to try to win this game because he knows he is next in line for the Mississippi State job if Mullen can't put things together this season. Hudspeth came in second for the Ole Miss job that his good friend and rival Freeze won as well.

If ULL's defense can hold their own, then ULL will have a chance because their offense is talented enough to move the ball against Ole Miss.

Yep. Let's not act like Ole Miss is Alabama either. They are probably more physical than any Sun Belt team that ULL will play but UM ain't LSU or Alabama. If Boise State gives Ole Miss trouble in August, then I expect ULL to do the same (I think Ole Miss will win as well but like you I wouldn't be shocked if they won).

Hugh Freeze is coaching to leave Ole Miss IMO (I think a bigger school will come in and scoop him up if they win 9-10 games this year)

It seems like some people cable provider only provides them just basic ESPN. My cable provider provides ESPN, ESPNews, ESPNU, and ESPN2. I think ESPNews and ESPNU are used as ESPN3 during football season.

All I know on paper, this will be SU's best team since the 90's :)

Yep. It's been like that for a few years. I'm still surprised we (SWAC/HBCUs) haven't been bumped down to ESPN3 (which means that the ratings warrant keeping us on ESPNU).

I simply love ESPN3. Normally, I'll have two games on at the same time if there are two games on at the same time that I want to watch.....One on the lap top and the other on the main T.V.....or if I need to make a run to the store, take the cell and have the game on that. :emlaugh:

Well that can be argued. May not be those 11-1 teams but championship wise, could be.

Those two games against Alcorn and jsu that we loss during the regular season was very close. S.U. could have very easily been 11-2 last year. I want to see better and more consistent play though. I am looking forward to next season. The only team on paper that is a heavy favorite over us next year is ULL. Some pre-season publications have ULL as high as #60 in the country....

Nope......ESPN3 is not ESPNU
