Good Evening:
Now I know I don't post much but the madness has got to stop. As I sit here and read some of these post I can't help but wonder, why? Listen folk we sit here and argue back and forward about which school is better when the truth is we all suck! Don't get me wrong I love my UAPB and the SWAC as well as HBCU'S but I am sick of the stupidity. Why fight each other over nickles and dimes when the others are dealing with dollar bills, we are so far behind that we have no clue as to how to catch up, when in fact we have a brand that nobody else has and that is a Black brand, and in case you have not noticed BLACK sells. I live in the MS delta and I will never understand why the 3 schools here do not have a strong presence in the area. The problem is we try so hard to be like everybody else when we are not like them. We have forgotten who got us where we are its just that simple. Some say if your school leaves the SWAC goes down! No it doesn't! You can't take the name with you and besides with our conference athletic budgets where would you go?! And have you once stop to think maybe its your institution that's holding back progress. Lets face the facts the SWAC has not been the SWAC since the mid 90's and it has taken us almost 20 years to figure it out and yet still we lack in ALL areas let me repeat that ALL areas! We can't win out of conference and when we do 95% of the time its a worthless opponent. We don't market well, demand the support when in honesty we have no reason too, there is no consistency, a piss poor showing in leadership that we allow, not enough support from alums, and there are many more.Think about it people all of our schools are in states that never wanted blacks to learn and if not for the federal government we would be in serious trouble because each state would snatch funding from us so fast it wouldn't be funny. Just stop this foolishness and be about business, can you vision a conference that is self sufficient with all its members my goodness what a day that would be.
