2014 Commish Cup

OK you number crunchers, how does the Commissioner's Cup stack up at this time? Do any of the SWAC AD's have incentives in their contracts for placement in the cup? If so what are the details?
 






My guess is it is between S.U. and Bama State. I am guessing also that baseball will take Bama State over the top....hope I'm wrong but that's what I'm guessing off the top of my head........

It's over. :bowdown:The baseball tourney doesn't matter. We were the most competitive in all sports.

Because we no longer have men's tennis or golf, it's going to be really difficult for SU to win. Bama St probably had a large lead over everyone. We will regain what's rightfully SU's though :) . Nobody is close to SU in the total number of commish cups even though we haven't won one in a while.

I think it's close........Southern won Football, W Basketball, Men Basketball, 2nd W Track, 2nd Men Track, 2nd in West Softball (thus far).

Bama State won M Golf, W Tennis, W Track,

What I don't know off of the top of my head is indoor track and volleyball. However, I think at this point, it's probably closer than you realize......Like I stated, I believe baseball will take Bama State over the top.

Yes those two sports are going to hurt. That is 20 missing points.

ASU Lady Hornets won the SWAC in volleyball and indoor track.
So far, ASU has won SWAC championships in 6 sports this year.

The reason you claim su won't win anymore commish cups is the same reason they won in past years time. Those days are over for good or at least until su gets a golf and tennis team.

I doubt it we got some first place finishes in the divisional formats (football, softball, W tennis) second place finishes in soccer and golf plus a couple of 3rd and 4th place finishes. Bama state should definitely be out in front. They've been number 2 for a few years now and this looks like its their year.
