2014 Strength of Schedule

wrong Prairie View played New Mexico or New Mexico State that year and it was a very close game

ya'll did play 9 games that year. I don't think there was a 9 game mandate in place. In fact, I am sure there wasn't becasue JSU tried to play ya'll in STL and you all refused.

I am more interested in JSU's history of hanging with FBS teams.

We have only played FBS teams four times and that's four times too many but I think he means that at least we played well for a 2-3 quarters. SU comes out of the gate giving up TDs. Our best performance was when WC Gordon lost 14-7 to USM.

Isn't 2009 the year PVU called JSU to schedule a game, JSU forgot to put the call on hold, and the JSU Staff was laughing and making jokes about PV ??

Games against FBS teams should not be counted.
Toss those out and only count the FCS and D2 matchups as for SOS.

Just saying.
Call those FBS matchups what they are.
Checks for slaughter.

Frazier called them out at media day and Comegy ducked and ran :emlaugh:

Man Please.
Everybody in Jackson was laughing their azz off at P. View begging JSU to play them that year. Nobody wanted to help JSU out. In fact, Ya'll cheered ALCORN when they said no to moving their game with us back to Thanksgiving so we could play Eastern Michigan in 2010 when we played 10 games. When JSU finally told other schools in the SWAC to Kiss our black behinds, then all the hypocrites had a problem with it.

I'm glad JSU basically laughed in ya'll face. Not our responsibility to help anyone since it is not ya'll responsibility to help us out. JSU ducking P. View is like saying JSU will try to back out of playing Valley.

Dude................Check our history.
JSU don't have to barnstorm and get our heads cracked by 90 TD's just for a check every year like ya'll do. JSU has only played 5 FBS games in our history starting in 1987. Ms. State(2), USM(2), and last year Tulane(1).

Good luck on keeping it under 70 points in the 2nd qtr against Georgia when that game come up for ya'll. That is IF ya'll have not backed out of that azz-whipping like ya'll normally do against teams. :lmao:

The choice was really about money. The game was supposed to be played in PV that year so JSU was not going to go to Houston and lose money when you were not a required opponent. However, I personally contacted Braddy and the promoters of the STL Gateway Classic. JSU and PV had an opening on the day the classic was to be held. The promoters wanted the match-up and JSU did as well but PV didn't. So get out of here with all of that ducking and running. If we could have got a check by going to STL, we would have played but we were not coming to PV for nothing.

Mane, its gonna be like GaTech vs AAMU when we had to pull our starters after the first quarter.. LOL

You need to check your own JSU buddy. He is the one that said JSU has a history of hanging with FBS schools. So did JSU hang with all of those FBS schools?

I know Eddie Rob played the bigger schools to give the players an opportunity to see and get to play in the major football stadiums and Grambling is one and might be the only school who teams throughout the year who has played in many of the big football stadiums including NFL stadiums, yes it can be financially beneficial and if i were an A D i would try to schedule the teams transitioning to the FBS or newly FBS teams due to the unparalled level of athletes. Many teams popular programs are approached by FBS because they know you can help them pack out a stadium some are not approached hence is why one doesn't have a history of playing many FBS teams.:read:

Name one, Ms State, USM, or Tulane that had us by 40 at halftime.

Your last 2 FBS games was over in the 1st QTR. And it is not like Northwestern is on anybody powerhouse or 100 watt bulb list. They beat ya'll like a 1960's principal whipping a 3rd graders behind that got sent to his office for acting out in class last year.

Yep.
I am not a fan of none of us playing these super powers because of that reason.

We gonna get a check no matter what FBS team we play. I would love for JSU to stick to playing the USM's, ULL's, and Troys of the FBS world. Chances are we gonna get beat anyway so why get your team really killed playing a powerhouse like Texas(example) when their 3rd string is better than our 1st line players. Our team won't learn anything from that except what a REAL azz whipping is like. I don't even like JSU playing Ms. State. I know what kind of players they got up there.

Dude, that's a copout and you know it. I wish yall would quit using this lame excuse about trying to see the "world". Heck, let folks come to your stadium and see what you have to offer.
You guys average three home games per year and your previous AD admitted that in order to balance the budget, he was forced to schedule "money" games.
He even asked that JSU come down to Grambling to help you guys balance your budget.

..and i guess you are proud of all of that. I thought think it's a badge of honor to sign up to be a whipping boy. In fact, I am glad JSU has had some pride over the years not to schedule such games. On top of that, when you are traveling all over the world :snicker:, JSU was averaging 30-35K a week at home. We didn't need to be pimped.
