My thing is this. Why does the LA Legislation need someone to perform to open the session? Just go to damn work. LOL. I hope we ain't doing that isht for free.

I think it has always been like that. Not only it provides some form of entertainment, it's a way to display the talent that comes from Louisiana to the legislators, especially the talent of students in college. I don't know if SU's band is getting paid to perform, but it does help the university when the legislators cast their vote to fund Southern University programs.

Please don't remind me of this. Having to sit there in person why this was going on hurts my soul still today. That evening after session adjourned for the day was hell.

But I am sure the Boom would turn down the invite from the Ms State Legislature for the reasons you mentioned. I am sure Taylor would not go to the State Capital to perform for them other folks.

I betcha after that performance, they not only gave Dr. Jackson a round of applause, they passed a bill in both houses ensuring the jukes are able to make it to ALL the football games next season.
