Well, something needed to be cleared up. I didn't realize all su sports are currently banned. If so, your football team should've been banned from the SCG and PV should've been the representative.
 
As HBCU alumns we all see the unnecessary drama our HBCU students go through daily. We all complain about the negatives of HBCU's, however, all of us on this board are suppose to be supporters, family or friends of black colleges. It really bothers me that anyone would want to see a team destroyed by the APR monster when in fact it never has anything to do with the current players. There are too many leaders in charge of HBCUS/administrators/directors, etc who don't have the effective leadership skills, training or natural "know how" to get the damn job done. Many times these people are hired by frats, sorors, friends and they are worthless in job accomplishments.

SU has been the best team for our conference this season in basketball and those players deserve to be in that tournament because of their hard work and in reality they will represent our conference the best in the NCAA's . We should never want bad things to happen to any of our schools because of our petty rivalries because these boneheaded adult mistakes directly effect our students. This is one reason why many of these black students attend those PWCS because for the most part PWCs take care of business better than MOST HBCUS.

The best teams were banned last year and SU represented by default
So it wouldn't be such a bad thing this year if SU stays banned and some other team in the conference wins the tourney and rep the SWAC. Let's keep the trend going. #SWACtastic

Not the "Death Penalty". They can still play, but no post-season....like USC and Auburn in the past.

SU sports are currently banned from post-season activities.....I think this includes the softball and baseball teams as well.

Yeah by 1 game. You all just want to see every school suffer. I'll be glad to drank and cheer when JSU has this issue.

Don't hold your breath cause we more than likely won't have such problems. We know better now so we should do better.
By the way, that other JSU poster's post wasn't stupid. su did represent by default.

It was beyond stupid actually. We won the tournament therefore it wasn't by default. You act as if there was a guarantee TxSU would win it. We split wins with them so to say it was by default is dumb.

TSU was the only team to finish ahead of SU last season. SU owned the tiebreaker over PB last season. SU beat them by 40 in BR, and PB beat us by 3 in PB. Point differential is the tie breaker.

I hope it all works out for those student athletes. If the ban is upheld would it just for the this spring sports or would it be for the upcoming fall sports as well?

Good question. I'm not sure but I doubt for all. The sports who were banned in 09 probably would likely be hit. They need usuable paper work to show that the student athletes in 09-10 were good. They said nothing was wrong with scores or anything of that nature. I'm hearing they are going to overturn it.
