Hell yall got to figure out a QB too. Ivey coming back from injury and Moore gone. PV is probably in the best Qb shape along with Alcorn. PB with Anderson would be another one.

True but Ingram or Ivy will be playing in Houston in December.

When that "skinny as a rail" QB meets JSU linebackers, what he gonna do?

He ain't as skinny as you think. Don't let pre-season photos fool you. LOL. We had skinny Qbs in the past. Richard and Lee were not exactly muscular. LOL.

No, a white guy, the one on the link.

Honestly yall naming better candidates on here than we're getting on campus LOL. I like his resume but he's not a candidate. Tony Hughes is the name that's been reported the most along with the usual cast of characters you see with every HBCU opening.

I have Manny Heath...

Yeah right. He ain't even a candidate. You do know this ole JR you talking to. LOL. I am not being messy about your candidates like some were on SU's. But my JSU folks close to the sources keep me in the loop on what's going on. But I ain't saying nothing until JSU announces who they choose out the remaining ones they have gotten down to. I don't wish you cats any ill will. Just continued rivalry and hard fought games between our schools. With SU winning of course. LOL.

99, you think Hughes is the leading candidate? Is that your pick as well?

Yeah I agree with you on some of the candidates being brought up. But you know how it is. Folks just speculating from the outside. I hear yall down to a few.

I can live with Hughes if he's the guy. I can't really tell you who I want, just who I DONT want which is pretty much everyone else who's applied.

If he were available he'd be at the top of the list. But he's not, at least not to us.

Why isn't he available? Didn't he apply? I thought he was on the list and the mix of candidates. Did he pull out or pull what he did with SU? Trying to scare BCU into a raise knowing he really wants a PWC gig if he leaves Daytona Beach.

After seeing our list and FAMU's list last year. I figured the usual suspects would apply to JSU, NCCU's, Grambling's and AAMUs job. I just didn't know if the Queen had something up her sleeve from her past experiences. I thought she would be the wild card in JSU's decision. I think Hughes applied for SU's job as well. I know some coach from Ms State did.

Brian Jenkins to interview with Jackson State

HailWildcats.com contacted B-CU Athletic Department officials earlier in the day. When asked, B-CU Director of Athletics Lynn W. Thompson confirmed he received a call from Vivian Fuller – Athletic Director at Jackson State University, seeking permission to speak to Bethune-Cookman head football coach Brian Jenkins about the JSU football head coaching vacancy.

“I can confirm that I did, in fact, grant permission for Jackson State to speak to Brian Jenkins about their head football coaching job,” said Thompson. “However, Coach Jenkins is in the first year of a new contract with us at B-CU. We recognize that his success has become attractive to other universities. However, based on our conversations, we feel that Coach Jenkins is committed to continue his quest towards winning a national championship here at Bethune-Cookman University.”
