Yeah, but who will hire him after the Gram fiasco. Folks in the conference know the real Doug. He got blocked on the SU job when TC tried to get him through the backdoor. No way Will (our AD) will bring that kind of foolishness to SU.

Yet, Doug would not take the job until his son graduates. He (Doug) could not stomach seeing DJ across the field.
 
Odoms is overrated and not to mention he got a break this year cause the SWAC is in worse shape than it's ever been.
su wouldn't be a fool, they'd be a DAMN fool to pay him that much.
Since that's the case, su should go ALL out to keep him.

You are shole bitter about that loss. If JSU had won, would the SWAC still be bad? The bottom line is your team is not as good as you thought.

As for Odums. He is doing exactly what he said he would. We will not overpay for anyone but dude earned his salary and bonus this year. If NCCU wants to offer him more and that's his alma mater, you don't get in a bidding war.

If this is true, JR, do you really think Coach Dooley would get consideration? I mean, he didn't get any the last time he expressed interest and/or submitted his name.

Odums knows how to motivate his players. In this conference, that is good enough to win when you have some talent in both sides of the football. I don't think he is a good coach, but hey, he won a conference championship. That's good enough.

Lol. Man, Doug put on a show to let the world know that he was back on the market. He wasn't going to take the SU job. It's good SU's AD saw through the script.

He got consideration, just wasnt a finalist. But folks still like Dooley at SU. He would probably at least get some consideration now that he has been an OC a couple of years. If the job did become open, I am sure he would throw his name in the hat. But this is all speculation if Odums got the NCCU job. I still think Maynor will get it.

Comegy is WAAAY overrated and WAAAY over paid.

Lol. I got ya. I would like to see him coaching in the fall. Doug stubborn ways screwed him in the last two seasons, but he is not a losing coach.

You act like Comegy is one of the hottest coaches in the SWAC. Tell me again why FAMU turned him down while he was JSU's coach.
