WASHINGTON (CBSDC) – A terrifying new ‘game’ that’s already caused deaths in Syracuse, St. Louis and New Jersey is sweeping the nation, and it preys upon unsuspecting people walking the streets, anywhere.

A recent report from New York-based CBS 2 shed light on the growing trend, displaying unsettling footage of teens participating in this game – which goes by the name ‘Knockout’ – and involves randomly targeting passersby, with the ultimate goal being to knock them out with one punch as they walk by.

One victim shown in the footage is a 46-year-old man from Hoboken, N.J., who was found dead with his neck broken and head lodged between iron fence posts, according to NJ.com.

Video surveillance shows Santiago walking in an alleyway in broad daylight, and just as he’s about to pass a pack of teenagers, one launches the fatal, knockout blow.

And what’s the point?

“For the fun of it,â€￾ one teen said in the video.

“They just want to see if you got enough strength to knock somebody out,â€￾ said another.

This is why I keep one in the chamber. Put it in their head and let their mammy see what she didn't raise.

Unless you ready to shoot whenever you walk past a pack of of teenagers (gun out, finger on the trigger) then it wouldn't help you. From the article above dude was just walking past the group and one hit him.

I am always ready. When I see a group I make sure my hand is ready to put down the animal for the hunt. Always be ready to take animals out. I trust know one. Walk up on me or to close and it will be lights out. I have been carrying a pistol since I was 13 years old. I bought my first pistol on the corner of MLK and James P. Brawley and have been carrying and ready since 1983. I wasn't scared then and I am no way scared of some young punks now.

Just like those flash mobs that went around beating up people in these mega cities like Philly and other places, safe to say that I don't ever see this catching on here. These fools know there is a better than 95% chance that the person you hit will come up with a gun around here. Game over........... simple as that.

That's exactly what I was talking about in the post above this one. The person that did the "hit" and everybody with him would be dodging bullets.

That is one thing the national media can't overblow about the Southern region of the USA. Regular people that might look like a easy target believe in their right to carry firearms and actually use them.

Right. Honestly there's no protection from certain things. Its nice to feel as if you're always ready, but that's just like saying being a safe driver makes you immune to car crashes.

If it were up to me, the punishment for these kids would involve handcuffs, an empty room and Mike Tyson..

Yep..............Stupid shat happens everywhere but around here, it is more personal or 1 on 1 shat between sets that went bad.

When did you ever here about things like random flash mobs going around beating up people on the streets in Mississippi like they was doing everyday in other places last year when fools was doing that? That crap went on for two years and not one case of it ever hit this state.

That is not punishment for these cockroaches.
That is a badge of honor that they will take with pride. Punishment is a bullet in their azz.

Remember those crossdressers going into Northpark with pepper spray? Granted they were more ignorant than dangerous but still..

Certain things never reach here because of several factors - some cultural, some demographic. The larger, more urbanized southern cities deal with the same or similar problems as their eastern and Midwestern counterparts. But just as gangs never really took hold in Jackson like in other places, we have a smaller less-centralized population in Mississippi. And fear doesn't play a role in this. I used to work in the criminal justice system and believe me, those folls don't care about the consequences until AFTER they're caught. If they did, there would be no crime in Madison and Rankin county and believe me, there's PLENTY in those areas. Despite what the media would have you believe.

That shat was more "funny" than anything.
I hit the floor when I saw all them sweet buts coming out of there handcuffed together like they was on a chain gang.

Them he/shes running around Northpark in mini skirts, spraying people with pepper spray. And after it happened, what did you see. All them mofo's looking like they just got beat by Mike Tyson by the Ridgeland police department. Swole eyes, wigs all tore up, makeup all screwed up.

One was so scared from the threats he got afterwards, his mother and him got on TV talking about how sorry he was and his mother talking about how she explained to him that people would kill him for stuff like that. Same thing with those fools that shot a gun off in Metro Center when it was on it's last legs. JPD tore off into his azz.

That was the end of that.

for all you bleeding hearts it's not the material item per se it's the principal
act like an animal, get treated like one

I heard in prison people get knocked out with one punch and their knocked out body gets raped
they call them "knockout Bettys"

But the stats man the stats!!!!!!!!!! The stats say that these kids are better now than they used to be! SMH, delusion. I saw a report last night where one of these stupid kids got shot twice playing this dumb game. Wouldn't hesitate to put some fire in one of them either.

SO it wasn't bad back in the day but you chose to carry a pistol at age 13 anyway huh? LOL

Let me take a wild guess.
There was cries of "MY BABY AIN't DONE NOTHIN" in the background.

People have ALWAYS carried guns around here. I moved up from pellet guns and got a .410 shotgun for a Christmas present when I was 10 years old. Every older person I knew back then in the 1970's kept a gun in their car. Carring guns has never been a shocking thing in the south.

its not that crime was that bad back then.
Owning a gun was just the norm. Unlike now, nobody thought nothing about it. We used to walk through the middle of town in packs with our real looking pump action pellet guns going to other friends houses to shoot targets back then. Not a safe thing to do now though.
