Very impressive win! I was concerned with the team chemistry heading into the game but we looked pretty good today.

Yes, they were huge. I think they returned the majority of their team that crushed the MEAC and earned a 15 seed. They had good guard play and the big men were solid.

Our team was much better and extremely disciplined. I wouldn't be surprised if we are more than a few games above .500 before conference play begins.

That's what I hope for both of our schools.
 
The Alcorn Braves will have their home opener Sunday Nov 10th. The Lady Braves will take on Nebreska -Omaha at 2 P.M. The mens team will play Tougaloo at 4 P.M. Both games can be heard on wprl.org.

Both SU starting bigs have 2 fouls, and Mitchell of the bench has one also.

It's the new rules. We had 61 total fouls called and 6 players(4 from jsu) foul out in our opener.
