It amazes me how black folks are slave minded to these dam Pilgrims. Look these pilgrims are our enemy. They live, sleep and look forward to destroying anything that is not pale like them. How did this become a white/black thing when a black person posted the same article?!

It amazes me how easily we get distracted and lose focus. One of the problems facing the SWAC may be the "white man" trying to hold us back but we got a long list of self-imposed problems by the "Black Man" before we can even begin to tackle that white man.

Those problems were created and are still being created by the white man. Let's be real here. I know you folks live in this world where white America treats you fair. They promote you fairly on your jobs. They go out of there way to help you modernized black folks ok, but our schools most of them are state run institutions. In state run businesses when folks go to stealing, embezzle money or just screw up government money folks go to jail. No one at a HBCU since the 1980's has went to jail for stealing, screwing up contracts or embezzling money. If so yall intelligent white loving folks show me when and where please. Thanks I will be waiting. Everything especially money has a trail. none of yall ever wondered where that trail leads to or stops at because you love white folks.

I see that you are definitely totally confused and completely wrong in the events that have taken place. I'm not the one that is upset. It seems as if the White dude that initially posted the article is mad with Southern. If you would have read the entire thread with the initially article, you probably would have a better understanding of what took place. Right after creating the thread concerning the SWAC conference, the White dude from McNeese decided to post the following:

One can only assume that his problem with Southern has nothing to do with the entire conference, but more than likely it has something to do with Southern not giving his little school a return game in Lake Charles right after they played each other the previous year in Baton Rouge. Southern decided to make way more money in a game that was being televised on ESPN and ESPN gave Southern the money to get out of their contract obligation with McNeese. Basically Southern told PWC McNeese to kiss their HBCU ass.

I do believe Cee has a better insight then some folks do. Or maybe Cee did his homework and know exactly what went down. But to shine for folks that don't give a crap about you, is beyond reasonable.

If folks read the entire thread, there wouldn't be a need for an explanation and nor would they be so distracted. We don't need outsiders with ulterior motives getting involved, which is the ultimate distraction. Like I said before, the SWAC is made up of 10 universities with bright individuals that should be able to take their own problems and affairs.

Well, i refuse to read this entire thread but the SWAC is not as bad off as others try to suggest. Where is the comparison with the OOC records of other 1-AA conferences?

To me, I don't see anything wrong with us playing good D2 teams like Delta State and Tuskegee but we HAVE to win those games. I have no idea why we are scheduling Tulane, Houston, and UL-Monroe when we can't beat good D2 teams. Our goal needs to be to schedule winnable, yet challenging out of conference games. If that means playing Nicholls and SELA instead of Nicholls instead of NW State and McNeese, let us do that. For example, UAPB is not a top SWAC team to be scheduling like they are. Some teams need to stay in their place.

if you disagree with us scheduling FBS schools, thats one thing, but I would ask if PB isn't considered "a top SWAC team", who is?

One thing for sure is there is an inferiority complex in our community. We feel great when someone puts us down. Notice how happy folks are to chime in with we suck. We sorry. Genes are hard to get away from. many of the genes in this conversation was of those who had issues with King marching. It is easy to see how the SCLC, Push, Rainbow and the NAACP we invaded by outside groups for info.

Snce we're revisting history, there's a complete record of WHY I don't care for Southern....it's simple. It's solely about honor, why is why YOU don't understand it at all, Jag89. If you understood honor, you wouldn't wait until somebody's gone to run your mouth.

So are you still talking about people? Go do some in-depth research. You really have a lot to learn. You talk about honor as if you served in military. You know nothing about honor. It's just one of your punch words to try to make yourself sound good. A person with honor wouldn't keep telling others that they have honor. Honor is something that is displayed in one's character, not someone repeating it over and over again.

Now can you please let SWAC folks handle their own problems and affairs. I'm sure the Southland Conference could use your so-called honor to solve some of their problems.

I didn't claim to "have honor" I just pointed out that you lack it....it's a simple concept. I guess we can add that to the growing list of simple concepts YOU, personally, are unable to grasp...

I didn't start talking about YOU...I'm merely responding to your bullshit...I guess that's another concept you don't understand...

They surprised even themselves and won the SWAC last year but they are NOT a top SWAC program. Let's see what they do this year. Right now, the top SWAC programs are Alabama State and Jackson State. Everyone else needs to go to the alter for a little prayer. I'm not even sure what you all are going to do next year without Crowell but you have a lot of new players so hopefully they will have gelled by next year.

..and to take it a little further, I like what Valley did. They scheduled FAMU and Delta State.. the only problem is that they scheduled them a year too late. Some people don't understand program building. You don't build a program by scheduling game you KNOW you will lose. Pine Bluff should have taken advantage of last year and scheduled two winnable games. McNeese is not strong year in and year out but they are certainly a better program than UAPB. They should have scheduled like Valley... a game vs a MEAC program, TNState or a team like Delta State or Valdosta would have been suitable for a program that is down more than it is up.

There is no conference isolation. If there was, we'd be playing ONLY SWAC schools. Bama State played Jacksonville State; AAMU is playing S.C. State; PB played Arkansas State and McNeese; Southern played NW State; Valley played FAMU; PV played Texas State; JSU plays Tenn. State every year.
If the SWAC is isolated, where are all these out of conference games coming from?

Just because we don't participate in ONE playoff game, it doesn't mean we're isolated. It just means that we need to step up our game in out of conference play like we used to do.
