Barlow, a guy who spent eight seasons in the NFL as a wide receiver for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, compared Crowell's on-field talents to those of Tennessee Titans star Chris Johnson.

"Isaiah can run with power, hit the home run at 227 pounds, and he catches the ball well," Barlow said.

Asked if Crowell has the similar kind of burst as Johnson (who ran in the 4.2s in the 40 at the NFL combine), Barlow nodded his head. "He can run in the low 4.4s, high 4.3s."

I dont believe anything this guy says. Especially after he said that he was getting a Chicken sandwich at Burger King when Crimewell was recruited into his program.

So lemme get this. Cromwell couldn't get it right at Georgia; he couldn't get it right only a matter of months ago, but suddenly he's matured?! Wait until the season starts THEN we'll see.
Perhaps Barlow's trying to convince himself that Cromwell's matured enough.
 
Barlow needs a PR person.... sometimes he talks before he thinks and it makes what comes out of his mouth sound plain dumb.

I'm interested to see if he really has that speed. at 220 plus he's a big back...Glad the O line is deep and DuHart will be our quarterback. IAGTTBAH

Let's all hope and pray that Crowell succeed! We are some of the most gloom and doom people, especially on this site. We know that Barlow maybe needed to use a better choice of words also.

The man can succeed all he wants just as long as Bama State loses the East to JSU. If that's doom and gloom, to bad.
For Barlow to publicly come out and say a guy has matured in only a few months, he could be setting himself up to look like an idiot and lose all credibility if Crowell makes more mistakes off the field.
 



Its not that Barlow didn't use him...the truth is he coddled that kid every since he paid him to come to ASU. The kid doesn't have the character to do the right thing. Plus #22 was just as good. Jenkins wouldn't hand the ball off anyway

The high, mighty, and sanctimonious passing judgement early this Sunday morning. How appropriate . As long as Crowell continually takes care of his responsibilities on and off the field, we good. As far as the same old consensus, yall don't realize that no matter how you want to weigh in, you still are perceived as a hater.

How long will that be is the thousand dollar question. Barlow has to be sitting on pins and needles knowing that at any moment, he could get a "call" about Crowell.

Based on previous results, why do we need to hate on Bama State?

No need to hate the school whose players cant pass coloring 101. When you can get the volleyball girls to stay inside the lines, then MightyJSU will start hating on you. You should have said, "you mad," or started calling names, thats what folks on this board usually do when you cant counter with facts. Yet said name school can successfully propose and present the nicest, newest, and most profitable venue in fcs sports. Seems they are doing something correct. Get ready you seem to be well informed and have all the answers. Answer me this. When will the dome be ready? Im waiting...

Dude, are you bragging on facilties? Dont you know thats what most African Americans do? They usually spend their money on things that are not important while the world is falling down around them. You built a new stadium and your athletes are flunking out of school. Yall are typical Kneigrows who love shiney things while the important things go neglected. Do you know how STUPID and stereotypical you look to open a new stadium and then having to beg the NCAA not to eliminate 4 sports programs from post season play because of poor academic performance? Of course you dont cause you are a typical Bama.

I dont know when the Dome will open...hopefully soon. But I can assure you that when we do open the Dome we wont have beg the NCAA not to eliminate us because we forgot to educate the student-athletes in the meantime. Its schools like yours that make us all look bad. You need to go D2. That will eliminate a lot of misery for a school like yours.

How long does it take for a person to mature? Are you saying a person cannot mature in (at least) 8 months? Can you provide any information that he has NOT changed since this time?
