What if Slavery didn't happen?

What if the Slavery didn't happen to Africans? Where would we as a people be today? What do you think would have been the outcome of the African American race/ Black race in America and all over the world? How do you think we would be viewed? Would the Divine 9 still have existed? Please place your opinions.

Would this mean that Europeans would not have colonized Africa or any other parts of the world, such as America? Slavery is just one piece of the colonization puzzle. Human slavery still somewhat exist in other parts of the world.

"Until the mid-60s, indigenous Australians came under the Flora And Fauna Act, which classified them as animals, not human beings. This also meant that killing an indigenous Australian meant you weren’t killing a human being, but an animal.

To this day, Australia breaks every code of the Geneva Convention when it comes to indigenous Australians and their human rights. The “public housing” that the government has given them are one-bedroom shacks with no running water, no electricity and no gas, that entire families are forced to live in. These shacks are in communities in the outback, as far away from “civilised” society as possible. Out of sight, out of mind." — with Alice Marie Harris and Atong Bona Malcolm X.

I think that is what he meant since AFricans enslaved other tribe members regularly.

Gram...It was the selling of these slaves, aiding in capturing slaves which became bigger than they could control and thus Europeans gaining a toehold here that made the difference IMO

I'm sure the divine nine would not have come into existence, but I'm sure there would have been other elitist organizations that people of Africa would have joined.

Sure Africans enslaved each other, but it was not based on race or skin color, it definitely was tribal. Other tribal people throughout the world did the exact same thing, but because of capitalist greed, so-called CIVILIZED nations started enslaving massive number of people solely based on racial classification and there's nothing CIVILIZED about enslaving other human beings, CIVILIZED or UNCIVILIZED.

Do you know any individuals from Lorman, MS or worked at Alcorn by the last of Palmer?

Well I apologize to you all, I just assumed that by you previously or currently had attended a hbcu you would know, and knowing the history of some of the forum's culture from the past, I thought you were being a smart arse. But I do apologize.

Moors (Northern Africans) showed a lot of Europeans how to hunt, fight, cook, dress, etc.... Brought Europe out of the Dark Ages, they lived like savages before we showed them how.

You are right, they just took control of different regions, such as Uganda, South Africa, and LIBERIA, but LIBERIA was colonized by Blacks from the United States.

Sure they did during the occupation of Spain and parts of Italy, which is why Spain is not considered one of the elite European Nations.

The Portuguese being able to grow the African based sugar cane in the Azores and later in the Caribbean and South America (Brazil) facilitated the growth of the tran-Atlantic slave trade. The Europeans sweet tooth led to the enslavement and transportation of African slaves to the Americas. Greed drove the trade.

There were more Africans enslaved by the Berbers and Arabs (trans-Saharan trade) and transported across the Sahara than were shipped across the Atlantic. Once they converted to Islam they were no longer slaves. The Quran forbids the enslavement of a fellow Muslim. Whereas once Africans converted to Christianity nothing changed regarding their servitude.

The word slave comes from the word Slav. The Slavs and Germanic tribesmen represented the most slaves in the Roman world.

I have question for you Sir_Gram. If Frankish King Charles Martel loses the Battle of Tours in 725 to the Moors, would we (the west) be Christians or Muslims? The Battle of Tours halted the Muslims marched north into Europe and later led to the reconquest and the crusades. This battle is considered one of the key military battle in history.

We'd probably be Muslims...

Don't worry Sir_Gram, you started a topic that should always be discussed, because it's definitely gives us an intuition on of how Europeans gain the ability to dominate others and the world's resources. According to Time Life Magazine, gunpowder was 7th most important discovery in the past millennium. And with the discovery of gunpowder, Europeans gained the ability to dominate the world, which is why so many of them are so fascinated with gun ownership and protecting their 2nd Amendment Right in the United States. If it wasn't for the discovery of gunpowder, they probably would still be crawling around on their hands and knees in caves in cold northern climates. Also, with the combination of mastering the ability to use religion as a means of softening and weakening others throughout the world and along with technology that uses gunpowder, the formula of world domination was put in motion. Except for nuclear and biological weapons, approximately 90% of the world's weapon systems today use gunpowder.
