Final - Game 1:
GSU 5
TSU 10

Final - Game 2:
GSU 12
TSU 14

Grambling has been eliminated from the tourney.

Top 7th

ASU 3
MVSU 3

Sidenote: ASU/MVSU softball games have been moved to Monday in Montgomery as a DH (ASU leads 3-0 in the 3rd). Valley needs to sweep ASU in order to win East. Otherwise JSU wins East and top seed

I used up all of my :snickers: during the first game. Second game would've been icing on the cake since you guys claim the West is all that. We came in your house and kicked ass. It should've been a first game shutout.:emlaugh:

The West is all that!!! Look at the number of Baseball Championships won compared to the East. JSU has won 6 of the last 7 East titles and hasn't been to the Championship game since 2002!!!!!!

And SU hasn't been winning at home all year. Nothing new. But we understand your joy of getting a win against your Dad..... :emlaugh:

Jayrob,
Be real. There are 2 teams from the East with over 30 losses!!!!! I understand it ain't JSU's fault....but c'mon man!!!!

Dude, yall won by 2 runs in a game that was tied at one point in game 1. Stop with the noise. It wasn't an arse kicking. Now game 2 was an arse kicking. Hell we almost 10 run ruled you early in the game with the 8-0 lead. It still shows JSU has a hard time getting over the SU hump in baseball even if you show up with a better record and supposed better team. I predict another tourney failure for yall. Now snicker on that. LOL.

Per The Advocate: Prairie View (20-20, 9-9) and Arkansas-Pine Bluff (17-26, 10-8) have six makeup games to play over the next two weekends.

Prairie View must win all six to win the division.

UAPB needs to win four of the six.

After today's results, PV no longer has a shot to win the #1 seed in the West. UABP must win 3 of the final 4 games to secure the #1 seed.

Thru 5 innings Jsu dIdnt have a hit, what u talking about.

I am trying to understand how winning by 2 runs, then following it up with a 7-run loss means that you kicked a--?

JSU shoulda shut SU out in the first game. Those who watched it or heard it know what I'm talking about.
Cador has lost his touch. He reminds me of Pete who stayed a bit too long. Objective SU folks know what I'm talking about.

 :emlaugh: Old "Doc" had a bunch of KO(s). :emlaugh:

Looks like Jsu has again an Ace and no depth behind him. That is a disastrous combination in Tourney play. If their Ace loses game one, it will be another fast exit. This team loss both series against Bama State which is really the only challenge they have in the east. They haven't seen UAPB or PV this season and split with TSU (that's telling me they would have been getting regular beat downs in the west). :emlaugh: Their conference record is bloated with wins over Patsy teams. Consequently, don't expect to see them around too long in Tourney play.

A loss is a loss no matter how you try to down play it...

I don't think anyone is playing down Jsu win from what I've read anyway. It was a good win. I know my post is pretty rough but that is what I see. Bottom line is Jsu hasn't gotten over the Bama State hump coupled with heat from the west and I see more of the same for the tourney. I could be wrong but doubt it.

Everybody has a right to speculate, but who knows? JSU split with SU yesterday 1-1, but you got people bringing up run margins and baseball history its funny to me though lol

I stopped reading right there, then I read the rest of it just for the heck of it.
Didn't Bama State sweep the West? This coming from a school who got swept by hapless Northwestern State, yet JSU has it rough? Please. LOL!!
As far as our ace pitcher, he's on the injured list.
