Texas A&M Football: Biggest stadium in SEC

Re: Texas A@M Football: Biggest stadium in SEC

Dude get out of Georgia has been a couple of heart beat from the national championship the last couple of yeas, South Carolina has been a serious contender, Texas A&M may have been the best team in the country at the end of last season and Florida probably could have beat anyone in the country that wasn't in the SEC last year. :emlaugh: You all come up with some cheezy stuff. :emlaugh:

This is such a lie. They wanted to fire Richt until last the 11-12 season and even then they credited the bulldogs success that year on a weak schedule. They built on that last year and improved.

ALSO, I agree much of everything you said. I constantly give props to the SEC for their strength last year. Last year, the SEC had far better teams than those from the previous season. Florida also made a come up last year but you think they were good in 11-12? Now, let's see these teams maintain this year. I don't think they SEC will be as strong as they were last year. BUT AGAIN, last year was a GREAT season for the SEC. As for Florida beating everyone not in the SEC, didn't you see them get roasted by Louisville?

Dude Geogia was a top five team going into the SEC championship game in 11-12 and would have gone to the national championship last year (12-13) if they would have won. Like I said, some of the stuff you're posting is just cheezy. :emlaugh: Of course you have folks that wont to fire him because he hasn't won a national title but to imply Georgia (Tech's Daddy) is weak is laughable

Yeah, they were top 5 and got BLOWED OUT... their whole division was weak as water in 11-12.

Yea, they were leading at half time and was blew out in the 2nd half by at the time the #1 ranked team in the country (LSU). Doesn't negate the fact that they are consistently winners and would win the ACC every year (which isn't saying much). :emlaugh:

JROCK,
Overlook TP. He is simply jealous, jealous of UGA and jealous of the SEC. He would give a kidney to have the ACC be as dominant as the SEC.

and btw, speaking of the SEC bottom feeders Vandy and Kentucky, tech is an ACC bottom feeder.

We beat all the SEC teams we play except UGA. We do well out of conference. BUT this ain't about the ACC or GaTech. I'm just speaking the truth about the SEC that some people don't wanna hear. ..and UGA would not come close to winning the ACC every year.

Ya'll leave TP alone.
Ya'll know he is super sensitive about Georgia Tech since Middle Tennessee State ran through them. That performance got them a invite to Con-USA.

The way they looked against lowly tech, Middle Tn should've been invited to the NFL.

I can't bring myself to look at Tech Football unless they are getting their annual beat down from Georgia. I can't stand sloppy football. :emlaugh:

how can I be labeled a hater when I'm consistent? Hating is going on small talk and putting a bro down so the female poster can say something to me :emlaugh:

Re: Texas A@M Football: Biggest stadium in SEC

I'm not even talking about Vandy and Kentucky. I'm talking about every team aside from Alabama and LSU. In the last few years, all of the others have shown kinks in their armour. If you take Alabama and LSU out, the rest of the conference, Texas A&M, Florida, Arkansas, Missouri, MS State, Ole Miss, Auburn, etc... are not exactly teams that make anyone shake in their boots. Texas A&M is looking good right now with that QB at the helm but they still have to maintain that over time.

The same Florida that destroyed your sorry conference's champion on their home field on Senior Night?

Since yall piling on TP and Tech. You think the SWAC should give Tech an invite? That would give us our ATL footprint. ~snicker~

Its funny as hell when you hear how GT fans here dodge sports conversations with UGA grads lol. It usually ends up something like, "But our endowment is bigger than yours and our grads get better jobs!" I mean some schools are just going to have mediocre sports regardless, GT is one of those schools. Unless they ever change their admissions standards for athletes that'll likely never change either. You can basically walk up to any GT game and get a ticket at kickoff other than the few like Clemson, UGA, FSU and Miami...when they were good. People here just dont care about GT football...most of them will get in a car and drive 45 min to Athens and have no affiliation with UGA whatsoever to watch a game. But then again, it is the SEC vs ACC football so not really a surprise that no one wants to go see Boston College, North Carolina, Duke, etc. With Louisville in the ACC now they'll probably bring a decent crowd to watch them beat GT down.

This is true in bold and the attendance numbers can back this up lol.

Re: Texas A@M Football: Biggest stadium in SEC

They have a different type of student/alumni body, more like the bowtie and pocket protector type that really just doesn't care about football. I'm not knocking GT since it's a great school but you have to think about them kinda like the Ivy League fans. Football just isn't a huge draw for them.

Yep. You are right. Great school no doubt. But they are not serious about football. Now I am surprised how they let their basketball program fall down. No reason for them to be bad in basketball.

When have we ever dodged UGA? Ya'll WANT us to dodge you. Also, you just made a typo up there and typed ATHLETICS. The ONLY sport that UGA can beat Tech in consistently is football.

What makes you think we are not serious about football? We have been to 3 ACC Championship games since the inception of the game and it's rare that we are not in the #2 spot? We have been more consecutive bowl games than almost ANY other college in the nation. When is the last time we had a losing season? After we won the ACC, we fired our DC because we needed a better defense to compliment our offense. Last year, we fired our second DC. We are very serious about football. Despite what UGA fans want you to believe, we have GOOD attendance despite the fact that, as unknown1 said, a large part of our student body are in school simply to learn and graduate. Also despite the fact that MOST of our grads are not from Georgia and most of them can't find highly technical jobs in Georgia (myself included). I have been to PLENTY of football stadiums across the nation and I have not been to many that are as exciting as a Tech game.

Ha! Liar! :emlaugh:

Georgia Tech vs UGA Baseball Series Record

Georgia Tech 148
UGA 195
*two ties*
(looks like consistent butt beatings to me) :emlaugh:

you name most of the home slate then you say "a few" Granted, we don't have UGA's fan base and we should always schedule decent teams. Games vs Elon and AAMU are not what we need. But we have great teams in the ACC that teams want to see. UNC grads are all over ATL and yes, our fans get excited about UGA, FSU, Miami, VT, Clemson, etc.. but that's a LOT of teams  and we have a very consistent fan base that is NOWHERE near the bottom in NCAA football. We come out to see NCState, UVA, ect.. We won't have low attendance for our Pitt, Syracuse or UNC games. The only games we don't support are FCS teams and maybe a team like Duke...and even at those, we get 40K in a 55K seat stadium. Also, since the SEC is supposed to be so great, the last SEC game I attended at Tech was vs MS State and not only did we blow them out, their fans were no where to be seen so maybe we need to add some SEC teams to the list along with Duke.

Keep trying tho!
