Let's use Redemptorist as an example since they are a voucher school. Basically Jindal is trying to privatize education by moving to a more business approach where schools compete against each other for students and if you don't succeed, then your school shuts down and fails. He has stacked the box against public schools by freezing their funds and refusing to pay for a lot of things. With the voucher system students are able to attend Redemptorist free via voucher. But here is the catch, that voucher is paid for using tax-payer money from the school district that those students left. Meaning that now that school district will receive less funding with fewer students. This was all billed up as giving parents options to get their children out of failing schools, but those in the know understand that was his push to privatize education slow and steady.
Now say 10 top athletes from around BR decided to apply for Redemptorist via voucher, they would be able to go there on the tax-payer's dime, and Redemptorist would still have extra scholarship money left over to recruit non-voucher students. And it appears the state of Louisiana is being very lax with their monitoring of these voucher schools.
Most Catholic schools in LA don't recruit like JC and EC. Hell that is common knowledge.
Bull ish. Catholic high be all at Brec little league games recruiting. I saw Scotlandville high coaches run them off one weekend. The games were at Scotlandville high.
Dude you have bumped your head if you think MOST Catholic high schools in Louisiana recruits athletes on the same level as JC and EC.
what kind of assbackwards ish yall got going on in Louisiana??????????????? He is trying to kill the inner city school!
Catholic High definitely does, they just can't seem to get the most out of the talent that they recruit.
I know all the Catholic schools in the BR area recruit. I also know the NO Catholic schools recruit also. And y'all can say what y'all want about ND Crowley, but they recruit also. One of their fans admitted they cherry pick the best white talent from the surrounding cities. Some kids live 40-50 miles away. That is the reason that I used the word most. You can count the Catholic schools in LA on 1 hand who recruit at that level. Saying otherwise is bordering lunacy.
Those are community schools, that's the difference. Its bigger than sports because Central ,Zachary,Denham, and Accension Parish public schools don't have the same issues as EBR with voucher program because honestly this is the first I have heard about this voucher program and I cannot believe the voters let this shat slide.

No they don't do it at that level but them other catholic and charter schools do recruit and they are at a tremendous advantage over regular schools, and that is the point and you done bumped your head a few times if you don't realize that.

Dude lives way in Georgia, he has no clue  .
And how long has it been since you lived in the boot. So if I post a link where their fans admit it will you believe them  . Man it's so much recruiting going on it's crazy. Catholic High has gone so far as one of their assistant coaches also coaches in the Brec league so he can get the inside track to players. I have cousins and friends who have kids playing, so I know exactly what's going on.Dude, I'm from Louisiana and know you don't know what the hell you're talking about. ND don't recruit 50 miles away. They had the one kid that played ball in GA. but he was a native of Crowley and 3 or 4 of his relative played there prior to him. But to pass off that bull about ND going damn near to BR to get athletes to the east or west to Lake Charles just let me no that you have no idea what you're talking about. Lastly, again you've bumped your head if you think that school even get the best talent (white) in S.W. Louisiana. They just happen to play in a lower classification where they get more recognition.

I will start off slow, but I have a post from Louisiana sports line(high school forum) where a ND fan admits they have kids that live 40-50 miles away  .Don't bluff, post what you have. :emlaugh: But don't post no stupid stuff and try to put words in my mouth that isn't factual about what I stated.
If I weren't tired I would find the post from Louisiana sports line . It tells it all  .
so you don't think a ND alum don't know what's going on :lol:Do you really think I'm going to read through message board gossip and get the opinion of a fan that like you don't know what they're talking about in this instance? I am aware that ND get kids from those little rural towns in the surrounding area. But we're talking about a 15 miles or less. Most of those kids parents, uncles and cousins played there. Hell all they have to do in the country is work hard, lift weights and look forward to the football season. But as a rule of thumb though EF is a merged school and those kids are just not on ND level and never have been historically.
