Jabbar Juluke (Edna Carr) to La. Tech....Your Thoughts...

Yep. Good way for him to gain college coaching experience, especially since he wants to be a head coach on the college level.

I would love to see him as the Head Coach of a FBS school. One of Tech Safety's last night and from what he stated both of the future coaches will be in a defensive capacity.

would he come to the SWAC in the same capacity or we would have to make him a head coach?

He's a SWAC Frank Wilson :emlaugh:

Would he make more money as a high school head coach or a position coach at a SWAC school? Would this move be financially feasible? Answer those two questions and you will have a reasonable answer. Money talks....and you know the rest. :emlaugh:

I agree.....he made a good decision.

Depends on what high school he was at, because I know some coaches get a very nice stipend at certain schools. lol

Tech ain't exactly LSU but he's not making $330K like LSU pays the rest of its black assistants to keep them from leaving. A SWAC school could pay him what they think he's worth..the last guy at Tech made $67K as a DB coach so in all actuality, he's around the same in the SWAC.

My question is when they take those gigs and they grow tired of being a position coach and can't move up, do we make them a head coach to come to the SWAC if they never coordinated on the college level or would they take a few more dollars to be on the staff?

Frank Wilson is at the point where he can only go anywhere but BCS as he's paid way more as a position coach than damn near small FBS schools. He inquires about SWAC jobs but who can afford him? WIll LSU ever bump him up as a coordinator?

Which one has more upward mobility and carries more weight; SWAC or Conference USA?

I doubt S.U. would have paid him 70K to be a position coach. I would not move to Ruston for 67k though. :emlaugh: Hopefully he was making very close to that at Karr.
