+1. Back the, I felt like I needed that validation from a trophy wife to solidify all my hard work and successes. What I discovered after almost having my heart stop due to numerous stresses attempting to maintain a life-style that was never mine was that the waste even continued post divorce as I walked away from everything material and opted to start over with a totally clean slate.
I wasted a lot, too much. :smh:
My advise to any young man is be sure. If you are not happy w/ whatever decision/action, I seriously suggest you take a step back and re-evaluate and know your own personal yoke yet again.

This is one of the reasons why fathers need to be more active with their sons. I personally think it is a father's role to help their sons to recognize things like this before they are caught by a female version of the Spanish Fly Trap. There are females that take pride in themselves in knowing that they can ruin a man's life.

The problem is most the dads don't have a spine, so it is passed on to the son. Some believe the woman is always right, or don't say anything to keep peace in your home. How is it peace when you ain't happy. :lol:

I had a frat brother run up 20k in credit card debt to pay for a wedding and didn't know how they were going to eat...

Yo Panth, by her being a trophy wife, would you consider her your equally yoke

I ask, becuz I'm a shallow dude lol...hell I admit, a red-bone/brown skin young woman with a nice shape and cute smile will get me. I'm slowly growing outta that, and what has me thinking is something this old cat told me.

"For every trophy wife, best believe there's a man that's tired of f'n her" lol...and I was like dayum you right, it's alot of bad/trophy chicks that are single. It seems like the average women are the ones who gets the hubby.

You go into that much debt just to get married you are a fool.
$30,000 just to say I do............Oh hell no.

The debt will last longer than the marriage in most cases. :lol:

Get you an average chick. They treat you better. Them so called 9 to 10's are selfish and want the world. The 4 to 5's think they're the bomb because they got good jobs and a degree because they really had no choice in life to get noticed, but a average woman 6-8 are the most under rated women in the world. They understand what it takes because they have been there and done that.

I was speaking to my supervisor and he stated to me and I had to ask twice, when he married his wife, her parents paid for everything and paid the closing cost for their first home.

These are just the wedding prices.
Church, catering, dress, bridesmaids dresses, groom and groomsmen tux, etc, etc.

The ring is the mans debt while the wedding is SUPPOSED to be the brides and her families debt. :lol:
 
Nah BH. Not even close. She was reared upper middle class yuppie and I was reared single parent poor. I'm whoopi goldberg-flavor flav ugly and she looks like Sanaa Lathan(literally :smh: ). We didn't even look right walking around each other but I felt like I deserved someone of her caliber, physically. These days I'm not looking for 5'10" 135lbs. I look the inner solely.
