He helped turn a doormat UNT into a powerhouse & subsequent SLC power ~4 yrs. Also helped transition UNT to fbs'dom. Also participated on the initial proposal team for the new stadium that sTu will get ran in.

That's impressive and I'm sure laughable when compared w/ swac schools/hcs accomplishments during the same timeframe :lol:.

Recognized fact........... Bell was bullshat during his time at JSU. :lol:
He didn't build up a dang thing but he dang sure did a lot of tearing down. Any SWAC team that want to prove us wrong, YOU HAVE OUR BLESSING TO PUT HIM IN AS YOUR HEAD COACH. :goof:

James Bell must got some J. Edgar Hoover files on people for him to keep getting head coaching jobs.
 
Actually he did take JSU to another level. So technically he didn't lie. He introduced the first ever running clock in the SWAC. :lmao:

I was in Bell's first class. I had never had any contact with Jackson State before that. One day I look on TV and see that Hughes was fired, About a month later I believe, I got a phonecall asking me if I wanted to play in front of 60,000 screaming fans.

By the 2nd game of year 3, thats when the mayor, city leaders, all those hotel and restaurant owners from West jackson to the Surrounding metro cities started crying about their places have not been booked up for the Fall football season in 2 years. After 2 years and 6 months, I KNEW that would finally be the end of Bell. 2 months later and a empty memorial stadium, Bell got the hook on a Sunday Morning with 3 games to play. :lol:

When shat get bad enough for these necks in the surrounding counties/cities that claim they hate jackson, start to complain and cry, you know shat has got real bad. :lol:

Every Saturday on WKXI, Rob J would do his old man "Pops" routine on the air about Bell. That dude took the entire Tina Ward song "Ring my Bell" and made a comedy skit out of it clowning Bell. That shat was HEEE-LARIOUS. :lol:

Guess that is why Bell shot him the BIRD that day because Rob J didn't cut him no slack on the Radio or the TV Sports set.

Hell, we didn't even count the indirect impact on stores and such. We look at ticket sales, parking, concessions and apparel estimations. Even the T-shirt bootleggers were hurting. When the $5 bootleg Tshirt man is hurting, it is bad.
