Anyone know anything about Tulsa Oklahoma?


Other than "Black Wallstreet" in 1921, I don't know much about it. I'm not trying to be funny, but that was a sad occasion.

Don't feel bad, it is one thing that came to mind when I saw the thread title. Oklahoma actually has a rich history relating to AA. A lot of people are not aware that when the western frontier was being settled, Oklahoma was earmarked by some AA leaders to be a black state. Of course that didn't work out but there were many interesting occurrences.
 
It's a cool place to live. I used to drive over there from Fayetteville. They have a club called the velvet room which is straight.

I almost moved there for my old job back in2005. Not much to do but had a nice little suburban area with nice big affordable homes. Brokenarrow area.Small likeJackson.Ms.

I don't have a clue who the GAP Band is or Uncle Charlie is. I'll say hello if I run across them, though. LOL
 



I really haven't been a big music listener throughout my life. I barely know who the top performers are today let alone from 20 or 30 years ago.

Charlie Wilson has had some R and B hits lately with his comeback. So the youngsters even know who he is. There goes my baby got played to death. LOL.
