7 year DTV Customer, and LJ don't play!

Spoke to 2 Acct Managers and requested cancellation dept = Free Sunday Ticket, Free DVR, and $20 monthly discount, ALL for the next 12 months!!!!!!!!!
 



Seems like with all the discounts they are giving, they will be losing more money. The NFL package seems like it is a money maker they are giving away for free now. :lol:
 
Well my game must be off all I got was Showtime and Starz free, and $10 off my bill for 6 months still got to pay Sunday Ticket full price even though they dropped the price to $200 for the whole season.
 
I'm wondering did Viacom asked the same rates from DishNetwork? Did Dishnetwork raise their subcription rates because of Viacom's pricing? And the same question would go for the cable companies who still carries Viacom's channels? Anyway if DirecTV accepted the rate hikes of Viacom, some of DirecTV's subscribers would cancel their subcriptions and both Viacom and DirecTV would lose out because of it.

Dish dropped AMC as of this month, but Direct TV still carries them.
 
just got off the phone with them and they first tried to low ball the discount. Their initial offer was just a discount of $5 a month to start out. :smh:
I told her that wasn't enough for my inconvenience and I wanted to cancel. I could hear her keying in all kinds of stuff that I was saying, so she could transfer me to the cancellation section. When I got to them, they offered $20 a month discount. I said, well, my friend down the street got $20 a month AND the Sunday Ticket for free. She then added the free Sunday ticket to my account too. :lol:

This mess is going to break Directv b/c they're having to basically give away all their services to customers now.

I called them back said my friend got a better deal and I needed the same, they added another $10 off a monthe and gave me DVR free for a year.

Viacom and satellite TV provider DirectTV said Friday that they have settled a dispute that had cut off access to 17 Viacom channels for DirectTV subscribers.

DirecTV says in its news release that Viacom "has returned all affected networks;" Viacom said at 6 am ET that the channels "will return to DIRECTV's channel lineup immediately." Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Just wait Warn, Directv will get their money back, one way or another. They'll come up with some sort of "fee" and get back that money back from all those customers they gave those discounts to. They'll figure some kind of way to work it in the monthly statements.


Glad for the Directv customers....but I have a feeling Directv will get back that money they lost.

All, I got was the sportspack for three months. So I didn't get over like the masses...but I always get free stuff. I call every month asking what I can get.. :D I learned a long time ago to NEVER change your programming on-line. Call them. They ALWAYS offer you a special when you call in.
