Since 88 is not getting what I am saying and wants so badly to make jokes in an intelligent conversation, I'll try my best to brake it down to where 88 can (If 88 chooses to) understand where I am coming from....
First of all the thread it to Play AD at MY school and to propose a schedule that is MOST beneficial for MY school (SU). And the same for everybody else in accordance to the needs and situation at their respective schools. The things and/or teams and direction for SU may not be the best for PV and visa-versa...
Which is closer to SU...ULL or McNeese? Which would be a more profitable venture for SU...Playing ULL or McNeese?
My answer is ULL, now let me say why I FEEL THAT WAY....
With ULL we are a draw, one that they continue to ask us for...They have offered us deals where we would split the profits down the middle, it is only a 50 minute trip down I-10, 3 buses, an equipment truck, and one post game meal. Simple, Simple, Simple! and when we played them before it was competitive, a coulple of plays either way and the game would have been different. But all in all we came out on the good side of the venture.
With McNeese, there is a total different situation. That is a situation where there would be a Home and Home...One year you would make money, but the other year you would spend money. That's a two hour trip, Buses, Meals, Hotel Rooms, and other expenses. We could win or loose the game/ games and there in lies another situation where your recruiting is up for grabs, where that is not the case when dealing with ULL at this time....That is a chance you don't have to take. Now you tell me what would be the better situation for Southern University and the AD at SU to choose from.
I guess you totally missed the point of the thread, just in an attempt to disagree with me. But anyway If I am thinking like an Athletics Director these are the factors I would have to take into consideration....So make your jokes and smack (on the Sports Board...SMH again) all you will, but I know the nature and logic of my comments and I wish you'd learn to read more into what someone is saying before running off into left field with a response.....
Anyway carry on....
