Dynamo stadium contract?

Smells fishy. Why would an independent promoter pay another leasing party risiduals and profits from an event they are independently financing/packaging?

I honestly don't believe that sTu will recv any $$$$ from ANY event that AEG or other independent parties host in Dynamo stadium. You're a leasee, not a co-owner. :read:

Oh no sir!!!!!! I'll let YOU do the due diligence and continue to parade around the false sham.

I'm not mad @ the farce, at all. :emlaugh:

But you create a thread about it?

Tell you what, call AEG's BBVA Stadium General Manager Doug Hall and ask him for yourself.

I cannot do that. I heard a few moments ago that the state of texas has decided to put the city of houston and county of harris on a barge and put it where naturally it belongs, w/ the rest of the filth that's in mexico.

What's the area code down there? If it's not 281/936, it's no good. :emlaugh: :lmao:  :bawling:

Bad P88! :slap: ~snickering~

Hmmm....Public information is great...

(h) Other Income: Except as expressly provided otherwise in this agreement, Licensee is not entitled to receive, nor does it claim any interest in, the rents, receipts, royalties, concessionaire income, advertising or sponsorship revenue, naming rights fees, or other income derived from the operations at the stadium.

Slow day, huh pv peeps?

YOU LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIE!!!!!!!! :slap:

:D This is great. :emlaugh:

So Fiyah, who are you referring to when you use that quote of "Licensee"?:

The Houston Chronicle reported earlier Thursday that the Dynamo will pay $65,000 a year for their lease. The Authority will own the stadium on behalf of the city and the county and lease it back to the club. The city purchased the land in early 2008, but the Dynamo, along with a contribution from Texas Southern University, will carry all of the stadium-construction costs.

Furthermore, using that same quote from Fiyah:

Except as expressly provided otherwise in this agreement

Why didn't you share that component of the agreement?

Texas Southern athletics can (which they already have consulted with a few high schools) serve as "Promoter" to host high school games in BBVA Compass Stadium.

Guess what's going to happen in the future when it's Prairie View A&M host year for the Labor Day Classic (excluding 2012 since the game will be held in Reliant), Prairie View will have to sit down at the table with Texas Southern Athletics and BBVA General Manager to set the terms for the utilization of the stadium. BBVA will get it's cut as well as Texas Southern.

If Texas Southern wants to host a BOTB at BBVA, Texas Southern will receive revenue from the event.

A 21,000 seat stadium seems kind of small for a decent BOTB contest.

Licensee?

Yes, they are the Licensee......

B. Licensee is a university located in Houston, Texas and has an NCAA Footbnall Championship Subdivision (FCS) football team known as the Texas Southern Univeristy Tigers, which competes in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (the "TSU Team")

Read it for your self. What I quoted is on page 11 of the agreement.

TSU License Agreement

Now Cleb this is the actually agreement that was signed by your President, Vice President Committee Loaison, Chief Financial Officer and General Counsel. Not a website article.

Like I said Public Information is great!!!

That's funny, I keep reading in that same section:
"Except as expressly provided otherwise in this Agreement..."

Except – excluding, but, with the exception of, aside from…

expressly – specifically, particularly, clearly, definitely…

provided - if, on condition that, only if, so long as…

otherwise - then, else

Agreement – contract, arrangement, covenant, treaty, promise, pact

Where

"expressly provided in this agreement"

does it say you get can

"claim any interest in, the rents, receipts, royalties, concessionaire income, advertising or sponsorship revenue, naming rights fees, or other income derived from the operations at the stadium"

Can you show it to us...give us a page number in the agreement where it says that?

We don't want to use that stadium for the LDC. Why do you think it is at another venue this year?
Now yes your school could promote a high school game or event there and receive some of the money, BUT when AEG promotes a event there you will not receive a dime. They are promoting the 2 high school games there in week 0 of the UIL football season and they are receiving all the money from it and not tsu.

That onus is left up to the architect of this thread as it concerned them enough to formulate this thread.

Thats OUR stadium. At least that's what CharlesMcClelland said. Its sad how these people are being used and abused.

88...do you think it would be a good idea fir TxSU and PV to join in on a stadium project?
