Pacquiao camp: No fight with Mayweather on May 5

MANILA, Philippines (AP) -- Manny Pacquiao's camp says there is no economic sense in setting up a bout with Floyd Mayweather on May 5 after the unbeaten American publicly challenged the Filipino champion via Twitter.

Pacquiao's financial adviser Michael Koncz told The Associated Press on Thursday that a 45,000-seat boxing arena being built in Las Vegas won't be finished before the end of May and staging the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight in a smaller venue is "foolish from an economic standpoint."

Mayweather challenged and taunted Pacquiao to a May 5 bout in a tweet on Tuesday.

"Manny Pacquiao I'm calling you out let's fight May 5th and give the world what they want to see," he tweeted.

man screw both of them dudes, if it ain't one thing, it's another. Steroid testing, superstitions about needles, and now this crap. You wonder why boxing is on life-support.

Disagree................Pacquiao ain't scared............why should he be? :noidea:

Money found a way to back out of 3 fight discussions with this guy before and now all of a sudden he all jacked up to fight after running for 2 years? I like MONEY and think he can beat Pacquiao in a card decision but dude pissed me off finding ways to not fight Pacquiao long ago. They have tried to set this fight up 3 time in the last 2 years and each time MONEY byotched his way out of it for one reason or another wether it was location, the type of drug test administered to the fighters, etc, etc.

It was one excuse after another comming from Money. :smh:

Olympic style drug testing is getting randomly tested year around. What Mayweather wanted was Pacman to jump when he said jump and before jumping ask how high. What happened when Pacquiao said ok I agree to it??? Not a damn thing.


I blame Bob Arum, Goldenboy Promotions, and Mayweather. All this is about is personal vendetta's and other stupid crap. This is why boxing is wack now. Promoters and the fighters have too much say so.

THA TRUTH.
Money found another way to get out of it. When Pacquiao finally said OK to that request, MONEY used his legal trouble in Vegas, (IRS, Domestic abuse, bouncer got beat up at a club by his people), to back out once again. :tup:

It's not important because he saw Pacman's last fight, heard about his marriage issues, and got a little confident finally. That's all he was waiting for.

For the longest, it's been Mayweather trying to throw hoops and roadblocks in this fight.

Why do Olympic-style drug testing when fighters in boxing and MMA ARE TESTED IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE FIGHT AS WELL AS THE DAYS LEADING UP TO THE FIGHT? If they are found positive, they lose the money they made for the fight.

They talked about having this fight in Jerry World...Floyd came up with an excuse...No wonder Mike Wilbon always says Floyd ducks Pacquiao

Manny never agreed to Olympic style testing. Also, are you aware of the concessions PBF made on the first contract he SIGNED and Bob Arum FLEW over to the P.I.?

That was fully addressed by Victor Conti and others who are experts in performing enhancing drugs. There are many articles about why that form of testing is ineffective.

The last fight he agreed to be tested..............what test I don't know and the fight still fell through.

BOTTOM LINE IS MONEY is the one that has been dodging this fight. Once the fight is called off, then he starts talking shat about PAC don't want none of him. If MONEY is for Olympic style drug testing, then why don't he demand that for every opponent he faces instead of just saying he wants Pacman to have it. You have never heard MONEY ask any other opponent for that kind of testing.

When Money says yes to a fight, that means he is ready to kick natural born ass. That chump is scared as hell and don't want to be known as the last azz whoopin before money takes his hiatus.

Pac struggles three times with a fighter May pitched a shutout against. I see an easy win for Mayweather!
