The Clown Prince of Crime
There have been a lot of high-scoring bowl games this bowl season, Air Force vs. Toledo, OK State vs. Stanford, Oregon vs. Wisconsin, West Virginia vs. Clemson (even though WV Scored 70,
Clemson still scored 33) and my personal favorite thus far, Baylor vs. Washington.

LSU and Alabama need realize that a 9-6 game for the National Championship will be very boring considering how other bowl games have done this bowl season. Everyone is hyping
up this REMATCH. It better come through. At the very least, have a final score of 35-32, etc.

I know I love those high-scoring shootout type games.

These two teams will not score that many points against each other. Both coaches are going to play super conservative out of fear of making a big mistake. Remember, Alabama really could have blown LSU out of Tuscaloosa with better execution. You don't think Nick Saban has been driving that into their brains? I can see one team scoring that many points capitalizing off of the other's mistakes, but not both. It'll be more like 24-20.

That's what it is. Neither coach wanted to do too much out of fear of messing up. I just don't know why Nick Saban had a banged up Maze fielding that punt for Bama late in the game. I expect a few trick plays from Bama.

Re: LSU and Alabama Better Try to Bust the Scoreboard on each other for To Match Hype

If Bama could have blown lsu out they would have. They didn't. Didn't even win.

ummm, Bama and LSU have the top 2 defenses in the country. Why should a "high-scoring" game be expected?
:retard:

Re: LSU and Alabama Better Try to Bust the Scoreboard on each other for To Match Hype

I liked the defensive battles when teams are actually playing defense. I hate low scoring games when it is because both offenses suck.

Re: LSU and Alabama Better Try to Bust the Scoreboard on each other for To Match Hype

LSU is better today than they were when they play Bama the first game. LSU will beat down Bama and we will not ever see a team that can't win its division in a championship game again.

Exactly.

And why do people think that these are good games where (as someone on ESPN put it) "tackling is optional"?

Just like the next guy, I like a little bit of good offense, but that good offense must be played against a team that has a good defense. If not, it turns in to bad football.

Trust me, Baylor vs Washington was bad football. Did both teams forget to pack the "flags"?, Surely they were playing flag football.

Re: LSU and Alabama Better Try to Bust the Scoreboard on each other for To Match Hype

after seeing Oregon vs. Wisconsin, Baylor vs. Washington, and West Virginia vs. Clemson...........you would THINK folks would be ready to see somebody that can hit, tackle, and get offenses off the field.

My point exactly.

Re: LSU and Alabama Better Try to Bust the Scoreboard on each other for To Match Hype

Why does it have to be one or the other? I don't know about you, but I like watching great players at their best, so RG3, the Heisman winner, should play like it. Same goes for Oklahoma State - Stanford or Wisconsin-Oregon. I think most people were fine with those games.

Folks wanted to see Andrew Luck and Justin Blackmon be Andrew Luck and Justin Blackmon. They got it from what I understand.

If you temper every great offensive performance by saying "they never would have done that against LSU's or Alabama's defense," then you're sucking the fun out of football. We should appreciate what these teams do well, and also keep in mind that every game aside from the BCS National Championship game, is a glorified scrimmage.

In this case, the BCS National Championship is a useless rematch and pits a conference champ against a team they have already proved they pimp slapped before.

Re: LSU and Alabama Better Try to Bust the Scoreboard on each other for To Match Hype

BTW: LSU has not had a QB on its schedule as good as West Virginia's Geno Smith...take away Mo Claiborne's game-breaking KO return, who knows...McCarron is noooo Geno Smith...

how can you call it useless when the game will determine who wins the national championship? :retard:

Re: LSU and Alabama Better Try to Bust the Scoreboard on each other for To Match Hype

I wanna see a great defensive battle again. You can't beat good smash mouth football IMO.

Re: LSU and Alabama Better Try to Bust the Scoreboard on each other for To Match Hype

So folks actually want to see 60-59 games? Here's a suggestion, college basketball is on now.

It's useless because a less than 100% LSU beat a 100% Bama at Bama already this year. It's useless because LSU won the SEC East, the same division that Bama is in. It's useless because LSU won the SEC, the same conference that Bama is in. It's useless because no matter what, LSU is the national champs this year, win, lose or draw!

To be crowned national champion, you have to win the national championship game. You don't win the national championship by winning a regular season game.

People would like to see 2 offenses that can get more than 5 FG in a game also. You can have offense and still play defense. Give these offenses the same credit for scoring points as ya'll give LSU and Alabama defense for a boring 5 FG game 7 weeks ago.

And if you want to see a boring 9-6 game, go watch baseball.

Sorry MH, but I agree with Sprem on this one. If Bama had one the 1st game, the conference title; you would be agreeing too.

LSU is the national champion dude, fact it. LSU has beaten Bama, all Bama is playing for is a SHARE of the crown. This is a useless game, no way in hell should this do-over even be considered. A crippled LSU won at Bama against a Bama that was hitting on all cylinders.

ummm I guess I need to say this and yall can try another angle with me. I'm not a Bama fan.

The simple fact is that Bama and LSU are the two highest ranked teams. Seeing that there is NO playoff system, I don't see how/why ANYBODY would be upset that the two highest ranked teams are playing for the national championship.
