We have some good backs in the conference... I think Roberts tops them all. He definitely is a workhorse, although he's listed at 5'9" 185lbs. He was a man yesterday in the classic.
RUSHING Cl G Att. Yards Avg. TD Long Avg/G
1. ROBERTS,Dawrenc-GRAM SO 9 180 1039 5.8 8 87 115.4
It seems that he came from out of no where...but it was a matter of having some guys ahead of him that were more experienced. He really stepped up when given his shot this year and hasn't looked back. I have been waiting to see him on the field since reading this in last year's (2010) media guide:
" Dawrence Roberts is going to be a big time back for us, now he’s that homerun hitter. He has to get better as far as blocking and picking up linebackers but once he learns how to play we think he’s going to be a good player for us.”
