Who wins this one and why.

For me it is a toss up.

Running game - Bama slight edge
QB - LSU slight edge
Special teams- LSU edge
WRs/Specialty players - LSU
Defense - MAYBE a slight edge to Bama but not much

Overall - I have no damn idea! :-)
 
This year's game of the century!!!

No analysis, but I got Bama in this one. Too fundamentally sound with the same caliber talent.
 



Well, they've been doing the same pre-game specials on both teams, two seperate days. One day was LSU, one was Bama.
 
We know. :-) Because you don't want the SEC to win another Title. :-) I want to see Oklahoma lose, overrated offense.

Nah, it's just that I'm tired of the elitism in college football. I would actually prefer to see Boise State more than anything.

Well until BOISE come up with a better conference and stop playing the equal of 7 NEVADAS on their schedule, they are destined to get the shaft. The BCS computers are not going to put BOISE in. Their only shot is a split Championship with the coaches voting them National Champs and the BCS polls caculating their champs which will be either LSU, Alabama, Oklahoma State or Stanford. As it stands right now, the only way BOISE play for a NC, being in the conference they in is if FBS go to a 8 team playoff.

With Boise remaining schedule compared to a Stanford and OKLAHOMA State, they don't stand a prayer unless both of those schools lose. With Oregon left on Stanfords schedule, It would not surprise me a bit if Stanford jumped Boise in the BCS polls if both win out. If Oklahoma State win, then both Stanford and Boise are screwed unless the winner of the Bamma/LSU game lose one of their last games. Remember that there is no BIG 12 Championship game this year.

I actually believe that Boise has a really good shot at playing in the national title game if they win out. Obviously there will be another one-loss team in the SEC following Bamageddon Saturday. I could see Stanford losing to Oregon and there is a no guarantee that OK. State beats Oklahoma. So, this could be the year it happens.

I was surprised to learn that Boise State up to this point in the season has a stronger strength of schedule than Stanford OK.State, South Carolina and Oregon.

that's a BIG suprise. Not sure how the computers(part of the problem) ranked it that way. Depending on that 1 loss team after Saturday......let's say LSU loses in a close tough fought matchup on the road....that 1 lose will trump anything Boise has left on their schedule. I think Boise is good but they've gotta put more hurdles on their schedule.

I gotta give the running game to LSU by a slight edge. Bama has Trent and Eddie Lacy, BUT...LSU has Spencer Ware, Alfred Blue, Michael Ford and the emergence of Kenny Hillard???
 
Come on Jax Richarson trumps them all. He 1st round rat now top 10 pick...

I hate them both more than a rented mule like carrying supplies but I got LSU in this one..Bamma will be force to pass the ball and that's not their strong point.
Shoot Florida showed you could throw on Bama until Brantley got hurt.. Bamma defense is not really tested by the pass because they just stop the run and force you into a passing game.

LSU can run, pass, defend etc. Alabama is overated in my opinion..

Name one good receiver, who is thier QB.....

yeah that's true. overall- biggest advantage for Bama is that it's at home pretty much.
 
Heard an interesting stat today about the LSU secondary. When teams have thrown the ball beyond 15 yards on LSU, 6 have been completed and 7 have been intercepted.

Oh, I have LSU winning by 4.
 
LSU will win this one in the 4th Quarter.

LSU is a leaner and quicker than Bama and can match their toughness. Les Miles has game planned real well against Bama in the past and it has something to do with that Saban "intelligence shadow" that he has been fighting to dispell since arriving at LSU. This LSU team has that "it" factor and the SWAGGER of a champion.........Even the damn kicker has it!
