Yes they can. If the SWAC Administration says so. Either way someone has to suffer and really from the film they can only pick out a few players.

At the end of the day they probably can but that would be a worse decision than the fight itself. This is certainly not on the level of forcing a forfeit and there is little presidence for that. There have been many, many fights in games and niether team was forced to forfiet thier next game. You are really reaching now.

Bruh I'm being real. Both teams should be suspended for the next upcoming game. PERIOD. BOTH TEAMS!

so the their opponents should be punished also? that makes no sense.... if you do that you are also punishing the opponents of the two teams involved in the fight.

They didn't but I wanted them to as an alumni. Why do you think I keep saying "Swept under the rug." It's not about Southern or UAPB...it's about the way the SWAC Office, Presidents, and Coaches handle discipline in the SWAC. There is none. Even when you know your team damn well fugged up. Read between the lines brother....I'm no hater.

If Grambling was fighting Southern....Grambling should forfeit their first game of the season.

Nope give the opponents an automatic win. Fighting should not be tolerated. Yes there will be pushing but it results in an all out brawl....come on man!

I'm not understanding this. So if a team has players fighting, the school should forfeit their next game? Hell no. Suspend those dumb ass players and keep it moving.

you do know Grambling as a University would be losing money from their game if it's a "home game" what if it's their Home Coming....how much money would be lost if this game got suspended??

There are too many what if's for me. When a team has a brawl....yes both teams should forfeit the game. To the point where police have to injure innocent people to control a few....hell yea both teams should forfeit a game.

Yup. sure do....suffer the consequences.

If GSU's football fights and it rises to a situation like the SU/UAPB game....GSU and the team that was fighting should forfeit the next game.

bruh honestly did you think this statement out before you typed it? The opponent is losing MONEY, a full football game (damn a forfeited win).... concessions, parking, etc.

Yes I thought it out and the school fighting should pay out money to the school they forfeited to....simple as that.

For example GSU/SU fight in a BRAWL at the Bayou Classic.

GSU plays Alcorn in the first game: GSU should pay Alcorn a set amount.

This should be in the SWAC rules....you forfeit you pay out $200k....something like that.

If they have to forfeit the next game they play....go back and re-read the post.

If GSU and SU fight in a BRAWL....not individuals....a TEAM BRAWL then both teams should have to forfeit the next game. The next game will be next season....if it's Alcorn....then because GSU had to forfeit....they should pay Alcorn for certain expenses. If GSU has to travel to Alcorn...Alcorn would have lost money...if ALcorn had to come to GSU Alcorn would have been paid something. At the end of the day....Alcorn is still paid.

C'mon on man. Even the FBS schools don't do nothing like that and they can afford it. It aint that serious. Suspend the players who are involved. Warn the schools involved. Maybe a fine and move on.

I have seen worse by the big schools in the last few years and no one forfeited a game.

None from UAPB? The way I see it a SU player threw the first punch...but the rest...both teams were equally at fault. But I was not at the game and only viewing video footage.

The last school that earned my respect with a team brawl was Lou Holtz when he chose not to play in a Bowl Game; and they forfeited.
