He'll be alright.. I'm laffing at how GR is twisting this to get G Folk to say what he really wants to say and will use for SMACK.

Bruh you know GR likes coaches to out athlete the other guy. He harps on this recruiting thing. Broadway knew he wasn't no used car salesman so he got guys he coached up to win. He can win with pretty much his players or somebody else players. JSU would be undefeated with Broadway as coach right now with someone else's talent. He would coach up that team so Casey wouldn't have to throw 50 times a game and maybe not put him in harm's way all the time.

At SU, Broadway would have made sure we didn't lose those close games like we are doing. He is that kind of coach. Some are recruit only coaches and some can actually coach. Doug outrecruited folks back in the day because he could load up those classes with non qualifiers and hope some of them got the good sense (thanks Robber) to show up for class and get their academics right. So he normally had better players on the field than most of the SWAC so it wasn't hard for him to coach. But I will remind folks. He had a hard time against ole retired Pete with supposed less talent. Pete with 2 weeks to prepare for those Gram teams did really well. Notice how Pete struggled against an equally as good planner in Broadway.

Doug will struggle more than GR realizes because he can't recruit the same way he did in the early 2000s. APR aint going to let him. So he better get some BROADWAY in him to survive this time around. Meaning he gone have to coach up some nerds to win. GR don't see that. Unlike BCS schools. We will not be able to overcome poor coaching with superior athletes every time.

Oh, it's nothing. Every once in a while I get calls from people (from various schools) out of the blue who get pissed over something they have read on this site and feel the need to tell me over the phone. This time the caller was a Grambling supporter.

It happens.
 
... with all that being said ...

Doug will easily be able to out recruit Stump. Stump has one year left on his contract and can't even recruit the good Baton Rouge kids to go to Southern. Kids know this. In regards to recruiting, I would say ... 1. Doug, 2. Northern, 3. Spears, 4. Stump. I would agree that the APR thing has changed the game for everybody.
