Southern vs Florida A&M: Game Updates -2:30pm CT

I think I have an answer for you but that is a topic for a different forum.....But is stems from a lack of respect for the alumni and a god complex.

Before you do that, all HBCU's alums need to investigate the hiring process for coaches.

I was SHOCKED to learn that PRESIDENTS hired coaches without consulting "The F Club" (former athletes) such as the BCS schools do. BCS schools meet with former athletes, alumni and other boosters before making a hiring decision. From some reason HBCU's will not work with contributors before hiring coaches. What's the deal with some HBCU's paying 2 head football coaches.

How can HBCU's get ahead when they do not make an informed decisions.

I agree whole heartily. JR and I said the same thing about the hiring process.

How much respect should they have for an alumni base that doesnt give back? "Support" is more than just showing up in droves for a classic football game.

That's there job to get alums to donate. It is their job to cultivate a healthy relationship with ALL alums. Not just the rich ones or their boys who they went to school with or their frat bruhs or sorors. The reason our folks don't give like they should is the lack of trust and respect and all the hook up jobs folks done got at our campuses. I see it because I am an active alumnus and it is really bad, because unlike the PWCs, we don't have enough folks to pay out idiots when they screw up. And unlike them, we spit on our alums while they kiss their alums arses especially the ones who write big checks. Since we don't have as many alums that can do that. You really have to get folks to donate whatever they can and make them feel appreciated. We have to get more community involved and reach to folks

That's only telling half the story. You can try to place the blame on the administration but it's a fact that trying to get alums to give back to an HBCU is like pulling teeth. We, as a people, always want something for nothing and then ask why we dont have or why we can't do. There's a lot of blame to go around and it doesnt just stop with the institutions.

Respect those who do support financially and value their insight.

The persons pv_symbiotic is referring to are those who are an integral part and who have the university's best interest at heart....not the casual (which is not and never will be the majority) fan that fills the stadium for classics.

Some people just don't get it. I've personally seen this...people don't GIVE to FSU. FSU works damn hard for the money they get and they get lots of money. FSU shared their formula on how they go about getting the money from alumni and supporters alike.

First of all they don't take nothing for granted, 2nd they respect all donors. I said that's it and they were like "...Yeah...I said that's easy enough...they said easier than you think..."

That's too much like right.

Yeah that was real confusing
Last week, it was sad when JSU fans said that SU has plenty of talent especially on offense but Stump don't know what the hell he is doing.

Saturday, in the 2nd half. Stump is literally trying to coach himself out of a job. We look 100 times better then last year, but Stump is horrible.

It seemed as if Taylor was afraid to win also. Seemed like they both was coaching to loose
