Under what circumstance would anyone trying to put a respectable poll rank PV higher than JState. Not only that, TxSU is ranked 2nd. Really?

Lets see, JSU EMBARRASSED PV last year. It wasnt remotely as close as the score. JSU returned most of those players and the coach, PV lost its only good player and took a downgraded in coaching. Yet PV somehow is ranked higher in a preseason poll. Can someone explain to GR under what form of logical thinking is this possible?

Maybe there is no logic to this thinking. Perhaps this poll was formed to get PV and TxSU some undeserved publicity from the Texas based company. Oh well...it didnt help and it makes this poll a FRAUD.

A late score when more subs were being played helped them make it more respectable. It wasnt remotely as close as the score. I think Ramsey was the difference on your sidelines last season.

I agree, sTu had a lot of things going on in the field hous as well as on the field, that could/should have been major distractions. I believe Coach Ramsey was a crutial piece in holding everything together.

That's why I think he is an upgrade. He is a new HC, but he cut his teeth @ some programs that win and have a lot of tradition. His resume reads well, he appears to have high morals, the kids play hard for him, and his work ethic is strong. I am happy he is getting his chance @ sTu. I am also pleased with the things he is doing to mend some broken recruiting pipe lines.

A couple of seasons of winning records and I see some really great things in the future for sTu.

I think it's time sTu had a long term coach. I hope he can close the revolving door for the next decade +.

Third, our offensive playcalling stunk up the place; fourth, Tex Southern lost it's coach; fifth, Tex Southern lost most of it's offense; sixth, you don't have Ramsey; seventh, JSU brings back most of the offense; eighth, JSU's defense is much better than it was last year; ninth, Texas Southern's coach don't know jack about an offense; tenth,

For instance... against Gram, we lost our best defender which kept TxSU on the field (Nelson took over once Exama was no longer tackling him short. That's a reason... their run game with Nelson and #23 took control. Another reason (as opposed to an excuse) is that that 213 degree defense shut down our run game and we became one-dimensional TRYING to get a cheap score before the end of third quarter rather than run clock. That's what our staff made a mistake in trying... but that's not an excuse. Those are legit "cfuk ups" on our part and TxSU took advantage of it and won the game. They outplayed and out coached us.

Who said it was the ONLY reason and who asked you anything about your school? Nobody and nobody.

Just in case you didn't know, wind does tend to effect one's passing game, especially if it's swirling wind. As far as Tex. Southern's offense, passing wasn't their strength.

Not really arguing about TxSU being ranked #2....although any respectable poll would not have them ranked that high. Correct me if Im wrong but didnt THG have Texas Southern as BlackCF national champs last year. If so, thats a joke too. SC State/FAMU would have beaten TxSU down. Not to mention the ass whipping they took from D2 Skegee.

But ranking PV #5 this year is really a joke. Eventhough its speculation, any part time prognosticator couldnt see that PV wasnt going to be good. 63-14 says a lot about PV and it says even more about THG.

Its always been that way...more power to them. If it were me, I would want folks to take my rankings seriously and not as a joke every year.
