Now lets see how great Kobe Bryant really is

Since his followers want to put him in MJ's category, lets see if he can lead his team back from a 0-2 whole.

Dallas has had the best player on the floor in the first two games of this series: Dirk Nowitzki. That is part of the reason the Lakers are down 0-2.

Please don't ever say that again. That makes me very sad. Sadder than seeing Gasol go to the line for a touch foul or Bynum getting pushed around in the paint like a little kid.

We never put Kobe in MJ's category because Kobe has his own category.

Kobe has went to 7 NBA Finals Appearances with 5 rings. What else does Kobe have to prove? I wonder what team you stand by Styles...the Laker Haters?

I hope you know that it is hard to defend a 7 footer that plays like a swingman. Give Dirk his props man. He is lighting them up

All the Lakers have do is let Dirk get his points but shut down his supporting cast. Ironically, this same strategy has worked with the Lakers when Kobe scores over 30 points in a game.

The Lakers haven't been getting blown out, they just have some sorry ass bench players that need to go. However, Dallas is not no Superstar team and do not possess the fast game speed of teams the Lakers have played in the past.

REMEMBER PHIL JACKSON: LET DIRK GET HIS, SHUT THE SUPPORTING CAST DOWN.

Kobe was a role player for four of those trips. FYI. Those were Shaq led teams. He is not going to get credit for those. He has 3 appearances and 2 rings as the "man"

Uhhh, pops, if Kobe wasn't hitting free throws in the clutch during many of those championship runs, they would've lost.

As far as this current series, Kobe can't do it by himself. Gasol, Fisher and Odom need to step up as well as Shannon Brown.

Give Dallas credit though, they've been playing great interior defense.

Kobe was number two and now is number one which is the point. What he did as the best supporting actor is irrelevant.

Bynum: Lakers have "trust issues"

LOS ANGELES -- Not only is Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum not surprised to see the Lakers down 2-0 to the Dallas Mavericks in their second round playoff series, but he believes the Lakers' problems are "deeply rooted" and they have to overcome "trust issues" with each other.

An irritated Bynum vented for six minutes in front of his locker after the Lakers' 93-81 loss to the Mavericks and said the team has plenty of work to do off the court to dig themselves out of the hole they are currently in.

"It's deeply rooted at this point," Bynum said of the team's problems. "It's obvious we have trust issues. Unless we come out and discuss it then nothing is going to really change. We have to come in and have a good session [Thursday], which I believe we will, and correct things. If not, we'll go home."

That aint true. They were never challenged by a one man show against Philly and AI. They lost Game 1 and never looked back. LOL. Kobe never had to save them like they were in some danger of losing the series because of Shaq not hitting free throws. Shaq had his way with Philly. Same thing against Indiana. The Lakers as a team just had too much for an older Reggie Miller. Who else did they play in the Finals and win back then....New Jersey? LOL. C'mon son. The Lakers had no issues until they played Detroit who had no fear of them and all those all stars. Otherwise Kobe was not the so called difference in that 3 peat. Yall constantly try to devalue Shaq because he could not hit free throws. He aint the first big man not to be good at that. He was the Finals MVP all 3 times. Those Lakers team could have the title against those opponents with any guard that could score. They had a veteran squad. No Shaq.....no title. But certainly those teams were good enough with having even a Ray Allen instead of Kobe play second fiddle to Shaq and beat those 3 Finals opponents. Aint like Kobe had to lose sleep worrying about guarding against a bonafide super star at the 2 guard in those series. Reggie Miller was his toughest opponent and all he did was run off screens by then.

Bynum need to stop crying and figure how he letting big German Dirk light his team up. Trust issues?? he sound like a woman. The Lakers have been playing like this all year. Are yall really surprised that they are playing like this

So the Lakers would've won without Kobe? LOL!!

In many of those close games, Shaq was on the bench when the games got close. Come on JR, let go of the amnesia.

Reality show becoming distraction for Lakers star?

Khloé Kardashian tried to warn her husband, Lamar Odom, that filming a reality show wouldn't be easy.

"We literally film our shows seven days a week for 12 to 18 hours a day. They want you to be at your wit's end and tired. I think he thought we could send the cameras away whenever you want, but you can't. And I didn't want to put him under that pressure. He has his first career," she said, referring to Odom's job as a professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Viewing the scheduling issues as merely a challenge, Odom agreed to be a part of "Khloé & Lamar," an E! docuseries centered around the famous couple, who wed in 2009 only a month after they met. The show premiered in April, immediately attracting a strong 2.6 million viewers.

But the program almost never made it to air: Less than a week into production, the Lakers forward decided he wanted out.

"By the third or fourth day, I realized how tough and demanding it was going to be. I was like, 'I don't think I could do this,' " Odom, 31, said in a recent telephone interview. "But we worked through it. What I do is, like, usually on a game day, I won't film, because I have to have my mind in a certain place and I have to rest my body."

Jayrob, the Lakers were never in any trouble in the Finals on their 3 peat. Don't you get amnesia. And yes if the Lakers at that time had another all-star a the 2 guard they could have those titles. Kobe back then was not Kobe the last 3-5 years. He was not the best 2 guard in the NBA at that time. So don't even trip. But Shaq at that time was the most dominate big man in the game and most dominant player at that time. Free throws or not. You switch Kobe and AI back then when they played Philly, do you really think that Kobe could have lead Philly to a title against Shaq and AI? Switch Jason Kidd and Kobe from that NJersey team against Lakers. You think that Kobe and that Jersey cast could have beaten Jason Kidd (a PG) and Shaq with the Lakers veterans of Grant, Fox and others back then? Switch even old arse Reggie Miller with Kobe and that Indiana team....and the Lakers still win. Hell Miller is better free throw shooter right now on the TV broadcast than Kobe. So using your logic that Shaq needed someone to be able to shoot free throws down the stretch to win a title then obviously any of those guys could have done so. LOL.

See yall act like Kobe in the first 3 peat was the same Kobe he is now. He was not that kind of closer yet. Just give Shaq his due for those titles and let it go bruh.

Bruh... I didn't read the entire book you just wrote, but you are overlooking the fact that the reason the Lakers cruised through in the Finals was because the WEST was stacked up to beat Shaq. The Lakers wouldn't have made the Finals in 2000 and 2002 without Kobe.

By the time they got to the Finals, Shaq had a field day because he was free to abuse cats like Mutumbo (Philly's only big man), Rick Smits, and the rookie New Jersey had guarding him. Any coach will tell you to go through the big man in those matchups.

JR,
And please kill that mess about Reggie Miller being a better player than Kobe during that time.

Who were the best Shooting guards in the league at that time in your opinion?

Dude, I don't know what the hell some of you are talking about regarding Bynum. The light bulb has finally come on for him and he is holding his own. He has gotten to the point where he is not afraid to speak out. If his ass can stay healthy he will be the man eventually.

Exactly. Of all the big men on the team, Bynum is playing the best.

I would not totally put the blame on Kobe. Kobe comes to play every night. His teammates do not. I don't know what is up with Pau but he is weak. After 3 years and 2 titles, Pau still does not get that you have to bring your A game every night. He (meaning Pau) does not play good defense.

Also, the Lakers need to learn that if the 3's are not falling, take it to the basket. 2 things will happen: you get foul while attempting a shot or you get 2 points.

Bottom line: I expect this series to go 7 games with L.A. wining it at home.

Allen Iverson. Kobe was 2nd team All-NBA all three years of the 3-peat. V Carter & Ray Allen were also at the top of their games then.
