Future of Southern U. Football Looks Good

You (now former) AD got caught(was arrested for) soliciting an undercover cop whom he thought was a prostitute when he's supposed in town interviewing a new basketball coach because the old one got fired. And its being spun as "good" news that will affect the football program, currently headed by a coach that shouldn't have been hired in the first place. Southernites off the hook, I swear. All of yall.

Facts are our friends.....

No! But instead of exploring options we ended up with Stump. He wasn't successful but he got his full number of coaches so that is not an excuse. Stump is arrogant and I hope he learned his lesson. We have to have a offense this year though.

Lafleur made so many rules and regulations that killed game day experience. Stump have to win to bring many people back. A few people will come back now that Lafleur is gone. He didn't care about the university to begin with.

Just beat FAMU. (repeat)

Do we really? BTW, have they released this year's APR reports for all of the SWAC football teams yet?

Not that I know of. I am sure it will be posted when it does. And yep yall got issues too. With a lot of your own alums wanting Comegy out of there by any means as well. He can't afford a losing or underachieving season and that still might not save him. Then you have some of your alums concerned about the Memorial deal and what it really means to JSU long term with costs. You still have to hire an AD who may come in with their own agenda. So yeah yall got concerns more than just APR. A wrong move by your President and whomever comes in as your AD can set you back. You have seen that with other schools. No one is immune. Not SU and not JSU either. So be careful on laughing at us with Stump now. LOL. You may have one worse than him in 2012. Never know.

Doubt it. Unlike Southern, we have a president who is huge sports fan and actually cares about the university as a whole. You'll see.

BTW, fugg all this "we're back" talk. Just beat FAMU, yo.

Just because you are a sports fan, don't mean she can't make the wrong hire. If sports fans ran their teams, well we know what would happen. Never know if she will hire an AD that does not work for JSU. Jackson like Baton Rouge is a difficult place. I know that for a fact. You have to have the right stuff to survive in either of those cities/schools. The street committees in both cities are a mofo. Always stirring up something.

+1.

Man, y'all can't convince me that a bee-line towards C-Mac won't occur. :emlaugh: lol I can feel it. :read: Welcome to the club sTu. :D lol

I think he would go to JSU before SU but he's not going anywhere and you know this man...

So i guess all of a sudden the football team will be great. I guess Lafleur was coaching football and basketball also. Learn something new everyday.:read:

Man you really ran with that didn't you. It was stuff that the AD did to hamper progress. That is what he is saying. Sheesh......a good AD can is a big help to all programs. A bad AD can cause good programs to suffer. No coach no matter how good he or she is can survive well and have consistent success with a piss poor AD unless that Coach has enough power to go around the AD to get what they want ie....a Pat Summitt at Tenn.

They say “Their God works in mysterious waysâ€￾; Since Southernites wanted Greg LeFluer gone, I guess God works through hoes too?

Put it this way: I'd rather have Dr. Meyers choosing my next AD and head coach than Dr. Mason. :read:

BTW, does SUBR have a permanent president yet or is the jury still out?

To the so called DGAF Jags (the ones that come out with the usual spin when SU looks bad)

Some of us still have the "good sense" to know this is not good. Lefleur probably won't go quietly. Most HBCU's simply need better Leadership. Sometimes it's a matter of perception and how others see you. Image is everthing. Alvin Hollins use to work for Famu. This is his take on SU.

Interesting.

They hate to see SU folks happy. They wanted Lafleur to destroy the university some more so they can laugh. If anybody thinks by him being gone will hurt the university, then you are real stupid.

LeFleur was "destroying the university"? I thought it was other folk. Meh.

The proof of the pudding is in the taste...

WBRZ just tweeted:
WBRZ News
SU Athletic Director Greg LaFleur dismissed; Lady Jag Basketball Coach Sandy Pugh could become interim

You never know, it depends who's the next AD. Could be someone better, could be someone worse.:noidea:
You are right but if you bring in someone who actually care about the damn university, i dont think they will be worse. But anybody who don't care about the university, won't care how much they destroy it. Lafleur has done enough.
