And that's the problem. Most people dont see the bigger picture? What's proffesional now days about NFL Football? The steroids, the celebrations, the fights, the name changing, the coaches tripping players, the players staying in trouble, more fighting, some more fighting, selfishness, ego's, lack of communication.
Pros: Best of the best, hard hitters? And they get paid waaaaay to much to play Football and be in a Glamour, unclean environment. Its not professional football. Its much worse.

And what the L is this???^^^^ Showtime at the Apollo? A step show? A halftime show?
Even the commentators calling it how they see it. Just totally un called for and college kids an younger should not be influnced by this. Point Blank. The NFL is becoming JUST LIK the music Industry and TV. Letting everything go and ruining the kids and everything else. They cussing on Cartoon network now an showing adult things.. come on. Lets think!
I think DeSean Jackson stopping at the one yard line and falling into the end zone against Dallas is not that big of a deal. Chad Johnson changing his name to Chad Ochocinco is not a big deal. I thought the Jackson thing was pretty creative, though.
There is nothing wrong with adding a little flair to the game from time to time.
Is the off-the-behavior conduct of pro football concerning? Yes. I don't condone that. But the NFL does not promote it. Roger Goodell has done a pretty good job of attempting to curb those activities.
We haven't heard about any incidents at strip joints or clubs all season involving NFL players. There have been fewer cases of arrests due to drugs, domestic violence and drunk driving since Goodell has taken over than in the previous administration.
I think the entertainment world when it comes to television and music features far worse conduct than the NFL. TV and mainstream music is garbage with promoting sex, greed and other nefarious behavior and lifestyles.
You can talk about liking college football because it's more pure than the pro game all you want. However, college sports is far more corrupt and tainted than at the next level in many cases. Schools and individuals are making millions as a result of the free labor provided by mostly poor urban youths who don't get paid (at least legally) for their services.
Besides, we can't go a few months with hearing or reading about college athletes and bad behavior. A UConn football player was recently arrested for possession of kiddie porn. Another kid was pinched for running a drug house.
Most of the Iowa football team is in trouble with the law for some questionable behavior. Just before Thanksgiving a Notre Dame player was accused of rape.
How many SEC football players in recent months have been jailed for fighting in public, domestic violence or underage drinking? How about most of these schools admitting kids who can barely read beyond a fourth-grade level?
And that doesn't include schools being slapped with NCAA violations because student- athletes are taking money from boosters, agents or parents attempting to pimp their sons for financial gain.
Sports are no longer pure off-the-field or on the field. Even at the grade school level everything is not always on the up and up -- mostly due to warped parents and coaches.
So you can cry about pro sports all you want. But you better pay attention to the college game as well.
