Indecent Proposal

A man has been accused of trying to run down and kill his girlfriend after she turned down his marriage proposal.

Mario Francisco Hernandez, 22, was still holding a bouquet of flowers when he was arrested after the murder attempt.

The former soldier had driven to a fast food restaurant in Pico Rivera, California, where his 21-year-old girlfriend worked with the words:'Stacy Will you Marry Me' written on the back windscreen of his car.

LOL I guess she saw the red flags and said no...

But she does have two kids with him and was living with his parents.

They've been together since she was 15 & she's now 21...took her this long to see those red flags?
Seems like men do some crazier isht than women do sometimes.

Once again a fake chick exposed. She was using this cat, getting over and now he snapped after he finally saw the truth. What's new? Same ole story, different folks. These dudes gonna learn a woman will take and take, and use and use until she can't anymore. Then she plays the victim role and society blames the man for snapping. Two sides to every story.

WTH?!!? How in the miggity flick did you come up with the notion that she used that dude? How was she using him...he went to HER JOB & made that proposal. She may not have been ready to get married, she may have been planning to leave him, she may have known he was crazy but scared to leave. I don't know what the deal is. But I don't see how this is her fault. They have 2 children together, living with his parents....PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME AS TO HOW SHE USED HIM? Why did it take so long for him to propose to her since they've been together since she was 15 & 2 kids later? You know Pedro & Maria get married as soon as she turns 15 or 16.
CD get on out of here with that mess!

Crit you silly!

See my point exactly. You went straight to the victim role. He might have been crazy, she was going to leave. She didn't use him. Like I said their are two sides to every story. I don't buy that innocent chick stuff. Nope, ain't gonna buy it. Women always want it be known they didn't play a role. She didn't think he was crazy when she was spitting them kids out on her back. Say what you want, but this chick played a role in this. This mess didn't turn crazy over night.

Actually agree with you here...

Cry me a river. :bawling:

Actually..I do as well.

Which was why I pointed out that she had two kids with him and lived with his parents and working at Dairy Queen. Why not marry him?

However...we don't know everything, there are 3 sides to every story; maybe she was about to move out of his parents house, maybe she lived at his parents house but he didn't live there, maybe he proposed b/c he knew she was done with him (sometimes a person does a public proposal like his hoping she won't say no).

But you jumped straight on the "blame the woman" wagon. Actually there are 3 sides to every story...her side, his side & the truth. So until ALL the details/facts are given everyone is going to speculate & draw their own opinion. She very well may have contributed to him snapping, I don't know...but it's just tripped out how you automatically jumped on that wagon.

Maybe that's why he snapped...b/c she turned him down in public & he was embarrassed.

I didn't jump on a wagon. I stumped that mofo and told the truth. Puzzy is a weak man's down fall. This seems to be the case again here. Adam, eve, now these taco eaters in the story....

While I don't condone attempting running down your girl after she nixes a marriage proposal, I can somewhat understand the hurt and disappointment that guy had. Right or wrong guys are under a ton of pressure when it comes to either starting or maintaining a relationship.

Guys have to try so hard and jump through hoops, study film and do participate in two-a-days in 100 degree heat in the summer just to get run. Women have all the power. They dictate what happens. They don't really have to try tremendously hard to get the attention of or woo a potential mate.

I bet that cat did a lot of planning and thinking about what he was going to or what he was going say. I assume he had to save up for an engagement ring as well. Then in public she says no to his proposal, and he blows up. He was thinking, "man, I did A,B,C and yet it's still not good enough."

Oh, but let her go head and accept his proposal; they get married, and somewhere down the line, he does some messed up stuff like beat her or even kills her. Then ya'll would be screaming, "well she shouldn't have married him" or "didn't she see the warning signs?"

BULLSHAT! If that man KNOWS he doesn't take well to rejection then he need not put himself into a situation where he just might get rejected. Folk know what they can & can't handle....he was dead wrong for trying to kill her b/c she said no in public. Hell what if he proposed at home & she still said no, he may have really killed her.

(I knew I should have read the whole story before commenting) Apparently this fella was a soldier in the military. So I am assuming that his urgency to get hitched was probably fueled by the unyielding, tough experiences he underwent in that environment.

I've talked to troops about their experiences who've gone overseas, and it changes the way they view life in general. It's challenging to say the least. The mental scars are far worse than the physical.

Besides, this guy drives an 1987 Toyota Supra, has two kids by this woman, and is trying to do the right thing by marrying her.

Sure, one could make the argument that he could have handled rejection better. Sure, he shouldn't have attempted to kill his girl.

But there are a ton of factors surrounding this situation.

Cee Dog just talking noise. What might have been going on, :noidea: BUT at least homegirl saw enough to finally put the brakes on and stop it from going any further. Ain't no victim. Y'all need to put a lid on that shat. You can't even have a discussion without someone hollering victim or low self esteem when its opposite your opinion.

Kendricks...stop. Inability of him to handle rejection is NOT a problem she has to deal with or be held accountable for.

One thing that will never change in life is women thinking they are always in the right. When ever a situation occurs, 99.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999% of the time a woman will find a way to only see the role the man plays in making a relationship go wrong. The sad and funny part is that you have these dudes who allow yall to think like this, and they go along with it until it is them or their kin folk who get screwed over. Then they see it, but only for a minute until they get screwed again. I bet if you took statistics on this it would show women are usually 70% at fault for things going bad in these type relationships. He is never crazy or lazy or anythig else until she is ready to move on. Then she plays victim.

The other thing that never changes is you and your compatriots thinking you know/swearing you been in 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000% of EVERY situation that has happened to everybody. Bottom line is dude IS out of line for not being able to handle his rejection. From what you typed, HE is the victim (He is never crazy or lazy or anythig else until she is ready to move on?) Doesn't that = VICTIM OF THIS SITUATION??? Imma send you the rules of debating so you can understand you got to PICK A SIDE AND STAY WITH THAT SIDE...k?

I can agree with you to a point...the military/war does mess with a person. I dated a guy who was in the Army before we started dating. I don't know what his mental capacity was like before we started dating b/c he was already in & out of the military by that time. But dude was bi-polar or something! OMG! He didn't take me having male associates kindly at all...MIND YOU, I STATED TO HIM FROM DAY 1 THAT I ASSOCIATE WITH MALES MORE THAN FEMALES & HE CAN EITHER DEAL WITH IT OR GTFO. Needless to say that shat didn't last along with other things that played a factor.

But tell me how was it an "urgency" as you put it for him to marry this chick after all these years? Should it have been an "urgency" when she got pregnant with the first kid?

1. Your guy probably suffered from PTSD.

2. The urgency is probably due the fact it is possible he could go on another tour of duty down the line. Additionally, being in war increases the likelihood of death or severe physical impairment.

It's easy to say X party was in wrong or in the right. Again, it was wrong for the guy to do what he did. However, I think one has to look at the different variables and aspects of a given situation to determine why it happened. I mean, there has to more the story than guy wants to kill his girl over a unsuccessful marriage proposal.
