According to George Washington University, junior Kye Allums will play women’s basketball this year, but will compete as a man and not as a woman as he originally did.

Everything will remain the same as he takes to the court for the university’s season opener, except now Allums, 21, will be classified as a man, becoming the first openly transgender player in NCAA Division I basketball, reports stated.

Allums, 5-foot-11, from Hugo, MN, said the university and his teammates have been very supportive of his decision. However, he will not be permitted to receive testosterone treatment until he is no longer a student athlete.

"I used to feel like trans anything was really weird and those people were crazy, and I wondered, 'How can you feel like that?'" he said, in an interview with Outsports.com. "But I looked it up on the Internet and I thought, 'Oh my god, I'm one of those weird people."

The NCAA is looking at how to handle the locker room and other issue that may be sensitive for Allums due to his gender identity.

This is news? I always thought @ least 50% of college female bball players were overly testosteroned anyway. :smh:

by him/her said:
"The only thing I can't do is take testosterone," Allums said. "And I don't need that anyway. I probably naturally have more than some of the guys on the guys' team.

His/Her all-around game is prolly better and his/her nutts prolly bigger than a lot of dudes too! lol :emlaugh:

Oh the injustice of it all to new moms everywhere..who have these adorable baby girls with their cute little pink ribbon head bands, ruffle dresses and socks, the planning of their future weddings and what not...:smh:

I don't agree with this...

For real. :smh:
The NCAA don't like the womens teams practicing against men to get ready for their season but they will re-write the rules to let a damm man play in games with them. Remember the BS about UCONN and Rutgers taking schollies away from women by lhaving an all mens practice team 2 years ago? :retard:

Man all of this transgender and homo crap is getting out of hand. SMH.....

I'm not an expert in this whole homo transgender thing. However, don't you have to have an operation to be considered transgender? I mean I can still cut her. She might not like it, but she can be cut. She nothing more then another gay female. Growing a mohawk does not make you a man or transgender.

Yeah.

Just be a dyke like most female basketball and softball players.

No news here. Nobody is surprised that you're more masculine than you should be ....

She stated "I am who I am" who she is is female. What are we going to do when a person decides they want to be a pig ( just call me swine). If they start to OK this, will an athlete count as a man or woman scholarship? Will it be illegal to take supplemental hormones? This is not good. We say live and let live, I am for that up to a certain point. We are as a world headed down the drain.

Well until folks get the balls to stand up to it no matter the backlash. It's here to stay. Nobody is willing to stand up and say no because of fear of backlash.

Why should the NCAA spend a minute on this locker room situation and they don't spend any time on the locker room situation when conventional homosexuals declare their preferences?
