WWE Voters will get turned away in Connecticut

Susan Bysiewicz, the Secretary of State of the state of Connecticut, has given state poll workers the authority to turn away voters on November 2nd if they show up to the polls wearing any form of WWE merchandise.

A law in the state prevents any kind of political advertising within 75 feet of voting polls, and according to sources, since Linda McMahon is so closely affiliated with WWE, any form of WWE merchandise would be considered as political advertising.

If you don't follow wrestling-would you enve know who she is? And I've heard of this law but every time I go to vote-every political ad you can find is right in front of the voting place with folks passing it.
 



I don't know the situation at hand, since I don't follow WWE. But if wearing WWE merchandise shows political affiliations, and folks get turned away for wearing these things, I hope they turn away folks wearing ANY merchandise that shows political affiliation (ie Obama gear, political pins, shirts that support certain politicians etc.)

Seems like I heard they do that here in Houston. I believe they will turn you away at the polls if you are wearing anything that's endorcing a particular candidate or party.

But I don't think it's right to turn away people if they are wearing WWE gear. What if one or two of those people lost all of their clothing due to a house fire or something & all they had were donations or just what they had on the day they lost all their belongings & it just so happen to be a WWE shirt or something. They shouldn't be turned away. But folk will try anything.

I haven't heard of that happening here in Houston...well...not yet anyway.

But it is simply unconstitutional to try and deny anybody the opportunity to vote if they have the right to do so.

Goes to show what politics has turned into. These people ain't in it for us. They are power hungry, greedy people, who are only in it for themselves and their "buddies"...ALL OF THEM.

Sometimes, I think we'd be better off as a dictatorship or an anarchy. Okay, that might be a bit extreme...but still :shame:

People running against her have been trying to use her link to the WWE to make sure she loses. It doesn't really help her case when so many former WWE stars have recently died or been arrested for drugs and you have an employee that many view is racist towards blacks.
