I would prefer the MEAC because it has more growth potential... and despite the claims of the MEAC of not wanting to be "Segregated" the reality of it is that playing this game helps ends your segregation. Why? Let your attendance numbers grow from this game and watch how many calls you get from PWC's seeking your crowds.

We were 8-3 last year, what was Southern record? I would love y'all to be in a bowl game against the Ivy League, OVC, Southern, h@ll anybody but us.

Bruh, I am THE Logical ONE. I can only think one way. I have to be able to wrap all of this brain around it. :D

Evidently, you ain't got a whole lot to wrap. We could play them in ATL, because the IVY alumni base is all over. Just like other schools up north they play in bowl games down south. Plus the IVY and SWAC are the two biggest brands in FCS.

Good luck getting the Ivy League, considering that they don't want their football teams playing ANY postseason game.

:lol::lol: Get'em Blue!!!!! fuccccccc the MEAC ya'll aint shi*..... Let's get the IVY LEAGUE....

If the MEAC ain't sh*t, the why get mad when MEAC fans say "We're down for playing the game as long as we don't have to drop out auto-bid to the playoffs?" That's sounds mighty reasonable, especially when someone on this board mentioned playing against the #2 Southland team in the Legacy Bowl.

I see all the "all mouth" Southern posters forgot to post their record from last year. Seems to me like Southern has been the one irrelevant when it comes to winning football lately. Help a brother out and post y'alls record. Btw, Stump got drugged in the MEAC when he coached so getting rid of Pete for him may not be a smart as you folks think.

To all SWAC posters (excluding Southern since they are irrelevant) the MEAC fans are not against this game. We are against giving up our AQ to the playoffs to play this game. I just don't like the idea that we are allowing ESPN or anyone else to dictate what we do. I think based on last years results a FAMU vs PV game in the ATL would have been great. The name Legacy mean to celebrate the great history of BCF so you mean to tell me that can only be done by playing on our conference champion, get real. Let our champion continue to try competing for a National Championship while we get together and celebrate our legacy and make this bowl one of the best in the Country. H@ll if we do a good enough job in the future our conference champ might decided to give up playing in the FCS on their own.

I guess it's a matter of perspective... I don't see ESPN as dictating to the MEAC. I see them making an offer that you send your First Place team. The MEAC fans want to change the terms to fit your desires... If you can't agree with that, simply say "No Thanks" and keep it moving.

If anyone's dictating to you fans, it's your Presidents and AD's.

Interesting that he doesn't have an issue with the NCAA dictating that they have to pay 70% of their gate to host a home game and still dictating whether or not they even get that home game after agree to be pimped.

Negroes , coackroaches, and excuses...

Mike
That may be true but people who gives gets lots of respect here at FAMU. When we got wind of this our Alumni Associations and Booster give our AD and President a ear full. Consequently, we got a public statement from him on the issue. If others conference schools do the same we may or may not be discussing this situation anymore.

C-Leb
You never know. bruh.

My Irrelevant
The NCAA dictates everything to everyone when it comes to college athletics or didn't you know that. These two situations are not even close. Oh btw, I'm still waiting on y'all record from last year partner.

Actually, Blues comment on your being dictated by the NCAA is indeed the same thing. They don't dictate to the BCS conference schools...you will notice that they have no input on the FBS Bowl Alliances.

+1. It's almost inexplicable the double standard the ncaa has when it comes to it's governiship of FCS vs FBS (where the $$$$$ live).

I didn't know the NCAA was dictating the terms of the Legacy Bowl, where it's played, television rights and revenue payout. Wow, I just learned something.:noidea:

P, I don't think it's a double standard. The FBS schools chose to ditch the NCAA in footbal and do their own thing. Maybe us FCS schools should look into it and do our own thing, too. That way, we can play after Thanksgiving weekend, keep the proceeds from the games, and maybe get sponsorship for the entire playoff process. But as long as we stay under the NCAA's thumb, they will run it with an iron fist.

Robber, it's not just the NCAA... You might not frequent AGS but there's a sentiment permeating that board of "Why should we make allowances for the SWAC?" when it comes to moving the Playoff until after the Thanksgiving weekend. Although it would mean adding a conference that has good fan support (leads or near top of conference attendance); would possibly give them an improved bargaining position with ESPN for the entire payoffs -- Legacy Bowl gets 3 million for 1 game (probably more than entire FCS gets from ESPN for playoff games); and allows their teams to play once their students come BACK from holidays; the mention of delaying the start prompted Terrorist to criticize it because it meant an extra per diem cost of around $11,200.:lol::lol: I guess when Teams only net $30k for the entire tourney (if they advance) that is a big deal! :retard:

It's easy for them to have that attitude when they have zero say in when the playoffs start. Give 'em some control and the prospect of making real money in the playoffs, they'll be more receptive to starting a week later.

Why are you in here again? I could have thought the thread was for SWAC fans to choose which conference they wanted to play, not MEAC fans to come in and do more b%^%&in.
