KJ Black - PV QB

Your "freshman" qb is in his 2nd year in school while KJ is in his third...not much of a difference. One thing that is DEFINITELY different is if Mason was being praised for his athletic accomplishments PV supporters would be standing up in support of him and not trying to knock him!

Once again show me where I said ONE negative thing about buddy..... the comparison came up with Perriloux... Ive seen BOTH in person.... AAMU played against them both... Im telling you what I saw with my two eyes... if you think THE TRUTH is "knocking" him, then you got personal problems.

and our FRESHMAN qb was in his first year on the field...there is a difference.

I see the COONism is still in this backwards assed conference. That's not true tbf. The only ones I see digging the long ball are THOSE----> bunch of c**n monkey lookin' and actin' black people who L-O-V-E c**n ball. :D :emlaugh: Just a backwards severely unintelligent group of folx who lack comprehension and understanding. Just as long as that train of thought isn't anywhere in the lone star state, I'm good. lol

I'd rather a great game manager @ qb than someone chunking it downfield for 50+ yards on 55+ attempts and hitting only 12 or 14%.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Nothing is wrong with passing the ball a lot...it's the REASON you pass the pass that could be something of ire.

I REALLY can't wait to see ole KJ vs the Darkside. This is the same QB who could not put SU away. Pete should have been fired on the spot for not having kicker. The only thing that works in his favor is the kid has to deal with having a sorry defense...letting Gram and AAMU drop 30 points on them and he was still able to overcome. kudos to him!

No knock on Black because he hurt us with his feet and showed good field generalship against us. However, statistically Greg Dillon's performance was equal to KJ...still the stat that counts the most is the scoreboard. He stake them to a good lead to establish that they were legit and close the show with a nice drive to run out the clock. He's a good ball player...

Hopefully your sorry offense will be able to drop more than 5 points on our defense

bruh show me ONE POST where I said he wasnt good.

he passed for 101 yards againt NM State and for 161 against Grambling.... another level?

Did I miss something in that post? Sounds like you didn't think much of him from those games. I was just saying understand the game conditions before you say the kid isn't impressive, the dude is good for what he had to work with last year. They took the redshirt off the 6'5" very fast wide receiver this year it will only get worse, lol

Everyone of those 161 yards thown against us hurt... He was especially sharp in your first two drives that both lead to scores. Did a great job of executing the underneath passing game and quick hitches plus runs. Of course the 70plus yard td sprint hurt also. He had a good game against us... a real solid game. Only 1 turnover and (no harm intended) in the past we could always rely on PV turning it over either by fumble or interception. He was steady and made good decisions/plays...that's what beat us.

I'm glad he's being touted and hope he plays well against Southern Miss and the other non-conference. From a Conference standpoint, I hope we whup their azz and how they do everywhere else, Oh well!

Dawg you mentioned counting on the fumbles or interceptions from PV. You forgot to mention we also used to help you out with the punts for minus 10 yards or the botched fields goals that turned into TDs for the other team, cold blooded :shame:

I remember...yal have gotten away from "high risk, no reward" football and play a fundamentally sound game. The key is to still have an attacking mentality but execution through good technique and fundamentals. Once you limit a team's opportunities by limiting your turnovers you stand a good chance of winning. In 08, our season long turnover rate was off the charts and we went undefeated. Last year was not the same and the results showed it. Looking forward to this year... We got something for Mr. Black. (We'd better)

Biggs, I can assure you and others that all will be impressed w/ what PV offers in the backfield @ QB (1st str, 2nd str, and even 3 str) and @ RB (Babers is @ ~205lbs or so :read: and we'll feature something PV hasn't seen since the 60s @ RB, actual real speed :)) and along the OL. The OL unit is what I'm most excited about. They look like WRs they're so skinny. :emlaugh: But we know what that means. :read:

Yeah I saw that at the spring game......dude trying to increase his NFL hopes....

205 is too heavy for Babers. His speed and quickness is what sets him apart.

Not sure of the speed deal j4l but I think his quickness hasn't dropped off at all. Methinks he's bulked up for a probable NFL type run. Hope it all turns out for him.

One thing's for sure... I don't see how coach is going to fit all that capability in the backfield. :emlaugh:

Keep it quiet but ditto for my Bama State Hornets.

Excellent. :)

I recall very vividly how the Youngstown States and University of Northern Iowas used to put their collective feet all THROUGH THE former SWAC CHUMP'S ASS, yet alone the SUPERIOR coaching lol that occurred, while using tall, skinny OL who looked like WRs. I KNEW I'd seen that formula before. Hmmmmmmmmmm..... (thinking back of Univ of Nebraska)

If your linemen is a FAT TUB OF LARD who can barely push 225lbs w/ their legs lol and 185lbs w/ their chest :emlaugh: , you're in trouble, yet again this fall. :emlaugh:

Everybody harps on the skill position players because they have a c**n mentality. lol The REAL game is in the trenches. Our DL and OL are 2nd to none and I'd eagerly state that we have the best, if not one of the best, in the SWAC 2 levels deep. Unbelievers, you'll find out when we put our foot through your school's ass like YSU, UNI, SFA, and the rest of those folx used to do ya'. :emlaugh: :|

same script different year.... Bama State will be sorry again this year like the last 5 years... Can we get Tuskegee to play in the Magic City Classic? Its not even fun to talk ish no more.

Speaking or running back... I heard that Warren and Walker have gotten better, especially Warren.

Warren made me the most nervous when we played the Gmen, that dude can really break tackles. Hopefully our upgraded LB or he will really strain our defense

Babers may be heavier, but the speed and shifty feet haven't gone anywhere. Without the gimpy ankle he started with last season he looks faster to me and waay stronger. The RBs behind him though should be a concern for opposing defenses :smug:

Panther88, Spears likes our O-line, particularly our two tackles. They're both in the 6'7" 330lbs range, athletic and no fat. We've finally gotten our penalties behind us. We had 77 players participate in the spring and expect big things from Nicholas Andrews and others.

However, I know why PV and A&M played in the championship game last season and their names are Black and Mason.
