Question About Cell Phone From a Non Techie

so far, it's been great for what I need it to do. And is a MAJOR upgrade over the old flip phone I had. :lol:

Can't beat the unlimited internet.

Well thats good to hear! my Ma is always having issues with Tmobile...and then a few weeks ago I mean EVERYBODY who was in my friends list on FB who had Tmobile had a status about and outage, and not being able to make calls/take calls. They were some pissed folks. :lol:

I know RIM had a problem with their servers a week or two ago and that caused some major issues for blackberry users, no matter their service provider.

As far as the question, you may need to make sure you have that feature with tmobile.
 
I don't know. It came with Sprint Palm Pre! Howsenever, my phone stopped keeping the right time about 2 or 3 days ago!

I'm praying for Sprint before I get to that store! :)

I saw somebody watching tv on their phone last week and thought it was cool as L. Since I no longer have that dinosaur anymore (that old flip phone LOL) , I thought I could watch tv on my phone too. :D
 
Okay, could yall answer a question for me, I want to get me a Black Berry, so do I have to pay for the internet on it? I am a Verizon customer. I am tired of this flipp phone, but I am cheap. :lol: Do you pay to look at stuff on line or is that part of the email data plan? Help me out. :lol:

You will have to buy a data package with any smart phone. Maybe dahill and chime in with what is included in the data packages for Verizon.

yeah with verizon you do.... some other carriers you dont... I dont understand why someone would want a Blackberry without a data plan... doesnt make any sense to me. But yeah you would have to get a 29.99 data plan with unlimited email and web.
 
The only companies to get service after Katrina in South MS were Cellular South and the Nextel (the chirp worked)..
 
Having a smartphone with no data plan is like having a car with no wheels lol.. just doesnt make sense to me.

thats false.... Verizon took mobile portable cell towers to Mississippi and Louisiana AND gave out free phones during Hurricane Katrina.... several newspaper articles about it.... google Verizon Wireless and Hurricane Katrina.

I try to explain that ish to white folks everyday... they want a Blackberry just to say they have a Blackberry and dont understand why they have to get a plan.... I have to break it down to them... I ask them what do they need in a phone... I then have to recommend something else to them. Thats why you have to have a data plan with any pda, blackberry, android phone we have.

Dahill, the morning after the storm. No one was getting service for a good little second in my hometown. People had to use the satellite phone or drive halfway to hattiesburg..
