ABC's Robin Roberts to interview Janet Jackson tonight





Janet had an album released yesterday, I guess Janet felt it was time to talk.

There it is. Usually when celebrities do these exclusive interviews, it's because they have a product they're promoting. They ain't doing it just to be doing it.

I don't think her last two albums did too well.
I've read a couple articles that said since that Super Bowl mishap with Justin Timberlake that it hurt her album sales.

In an exclusive interview, Janet Jackson told ABC's Robin Roberts that her family was not naive about Michael Jackson's drug problem, saying that she reached out to her brother throughout the years, but was unsuccessful.

"I did," she said. "Of course, that's what you do. Those are the things that you do when you love someone. You can't just let them continue on that way. And we did a few times. We weren't very successful."

I watched. Hate that Janet, like Michael always seems to be so guarded and never can seem to relax. Always seems to hold back. Janet reminds me a lot of Michael. Janet is gorgeous and very talented and I hope she can find happiness.

Janet was my idol when I was growing up and watching some clips really took me back......she's the one famous female that if I ever met her, I would probably go into straight groupie mode. :eek: :emlaugh:
 
I saw Janet's Number Ones CD at the store today - I checked out the songs and they just all bring back so many GOOD memories for me! I grew up listening to Janet in her Black Cat - Rhythm Nation Days and that CD has a lot of good songs on there. I thought the interview went very well but BG is right, she is so guarded just like her brother Michael was. I noticed that she didn’t really wanna go there when it came to Joseph but it is soooo painfully obvious Joseph might’ve been "old school" to an extent but really what it boils down to he was flat out abusive. I always believed he was probably harder (abusive) on MJ since he was after all the "cash cow" of the family. I notice all the children seem to cringe when they asked about Joseph, but all sing the praises of Katherine.

I enjoyed the interview!!! Janet looked amazing!!! Looooved her attire, especially those beautiful earrings, they were gorgeous! I'm happy to know she's finally comfortable with herself. I'm sure it was hard discussing Michael's death, so I saw it as a big step for her. She seemed very sincere about the interview even with her cd and book dropping. Kudos to her!!! :tup:

But I heard she was engaged to Jermaine Dupri, or at least they were talking about marriage. Heard it on either the Doug & Dee Show or TJMS.
 
Janet and Flav Jr broke up. She said she wasn't ready to get married. That right now she is focusing on her music. Now for the hate part, she is plastic as can be, but man ole man, it looks good on her.
