JSU enuff said!
After watching this,Southern has got to have the dumbest AD alive to give our city free money and a big home game.......I thought our AD Braddy was dumb....
but in all serious th this is another example of how our HBCU AD's have no clue when it comes to business! Why on earth would u make this deal? The city of Jackson wins no matter what! True SU is will recieve 80% of the gate but we still get the other 20% for an away game that we wouldn't have gotten in BR..plus not to mention the business that the city will get and JSU will recieve and all this for an away game in our on backyard.:noidea:

But the fans do, which is causes them an extra financial burden to see a home game that should have been relatively inexpensive for them to see. That's why it's called home field advantage. I guess TC is saying F the fans too.

With a 10,600 avg. home attendance are the fans saying F SU.
Keep tring to spin this thing if you want too. The bottom line is SU needs more money & SU will make more money is Jackson than in BR.

No spin, but typically the JSU game, homecoming and when Southern plays FAMU are largest home games on campus. Southern may need the money, but I really think this was done without anyreal thought being put into it. The low turnout has a lot to do with raising the ticket prices over last few years substantially. Where's the revenue from the luxury box suites in the press box?
And Jackson will avg about the same amt of fans!!!

That's because grambling hasn't and still doesn't have a home fan base for decades. Keep it real, the attendance at gram has declined since eddie's last winning season....1994. And in reality, before the past 4 years only su and jsu had good attendance. What grambling did do was promote themselves by playing in "money" games...ie classics. Now we are all looking at bringing money to each school by robbing for each other...relocating games, wanting certain teams to come to their house for lil or nothing....while conferences like southland are playing fbs schools for big bucks. fyi, lsu is playing mcneese...remember! Yet we are not wanting to be embarrassed by the outcome of the game so we leave money on the table.
Attendance which leads to $$$ will always be an issue in this conference in general and at su, gsu, and jsu in particular.
