What would it be. Would the name be indigenous to the location or clever. If your masot is a tiger then you really need to change. If you want to smack re-post this there to talk about others.

You are right. JSU is also known as the Blue Bengals. A few years ago, our AD tossed around the idea of changing our mascot to the Bengals but I am not sure how far it got.
 
I think the Jaguars are good. It's not to common but If I could I would change it to CARDINALS! :read: :read: :read:
 
I'm cool with Tigers... if we drop that, then we just go without a mascot. We really don't need one... We're at the point that we could be recognized with a one word name. GRAMBLING!
 
Rename your mascot == sports board
Rename another teams mascot == smack board.

We have too many Tigers: I think jackson state mascot should be the lions........texas so. should be the oilers. We need a bird or two so I would change UAPB to War Eagles.

Everyone else mascot is fine.

WHy would you say we need a lion but take lion from UAPB? :confused:

I like the Panthers and the Black part of the Panthers especially. But, if we were to rename it, it would be the <b>Prairie View A&M University OwnTheSWACers</b>. lol
