Please Be Competitive...

We already know we're gonna be good...we just need yall to be a bit more competitive so we can improve to being GREAT. We're be going to D1's FBS before long so we need to have some competitive games for the next 5 years or so. It's gonna take a while for yall to catch up to our level, but if yall play hard this year you might improve to almost status.

But that's on yall... in the meantime, yall work hard to at least be competitive. We need to sharpen up for our eventual move.

You may wanna pump your brakes a bit. If yall move up you have to maintain certain attendance numbers for home games. Yall can't do that in the country backwoods. Even you admitted that. Maybe the NCAA will let you play all your home games on the road. I know a certain school just south of you that can help you with that.

But on second thought, the last thing Black America needs is for yall to take that Exploitation Show to a larger audience. Hell, I'd be concerned about yall being on NBC if the Bayou Classic wasn't their lowest rated sports program every year.

Well attendance really wouldn't be a problem you see... we typically average 11k or so per season anyway against teams that folks are bored with seeing us beat (like yall).

Now the key is strategic planning... We designate Shreveport as our alternate home stadium and play a game there against one of the Louisiana schools in the years that we're not the home team at the Bayou Classic. I with the right opponent in Shreveport, we could draw an easy 35-40k. That would boost the old average up enuff to comply.

Pretty clever, huh? Well as the Fox told the rabbit..."It's not that I'm so clever, I just can't think slow".

Ya'll would have the shortest FBS life in history based off the home attendance requirement alone. :lol:

GSU struggled to a No. 24 ranking among Football Championship Subdivision programs for attendance last year, drawing an average of 11,219 a night to Robinson Stadium in 2008. But those numbers are skewed upward by homecoming, and a trip by the always-popular Jackson State to Grambling

Look on the bright side Jackson... Either, we will carry your program up with us because you aren't heavy or you can start winning more SWAC titles when we are gone. Regardless, you win either way.

JSU is 1-1 against GSU in the SCG.

Dude you had to go back to the 90's... (and only the 90's) it's damn near 2010. Hell it's been a rough decade... guess we win another one. 50's, 60's, 70's, tied 80's, owned 2k's. Hey G4L they are consistent...just not competitive.

JSU peeps haven't realized what decade we're in yet and how many championships we have just in the decade alone compared to JSU's! Can't win them all but i guarantee we win most and of course the dog has to shine on a dogs azz someday! SMH!

If it wasn't for NBC, neither Gramps or suCKS would be shown on television.
JSU is the most televised SWAC school on national television over the past few years, not counting ESPNU Thursday games.

MB, you're living in a fantasy world. Yall are competitive in football some of the time, and NONE of the time in your other sports.:emlaugh:

Your athletic program is in no way prepared for a move to D-1's FBS.:smh:

Football= the most stable program in the SWAC and HBCU football!

Track= Men and Women are always Competitive

Baseball, had to be competitive, hell we whooped so JSU bad, the worst beat down in the baseball tournament if i'm not mistaken! So your little statements are false! Grambling sports are getting better! Just pay attention this fall, winter and spring and stop talking through your foolish pride! Don't get angry at us because your football team sucks!:noidea:

What? Dude the only time we had a losing period in our grand history is near the end of Coach's tenure. We have always been a force to be reckoned with and arguably the top team in the History of BCF and one of the most storied names in college football. So tell me, outside of the 90's when yall won the most games when has Grambling not been the shiit in our conference for any extended period of time? We damn sho has had our way with yall...
