Dr. Liddell Resigned??????


JSU is one of the worst drilling bands in the SWAC, the only bands they are better than in drilling is Bama State, Bama A&M, Valley, TXSU and PV because i don't know what the mess they are doing!

I honestly can't speak on UAPB but the BOOM drills better than every other band in the SWAC other than SU and they drill better than every band in the MEAC. FAMU tops us in creativity by a landslide but their execution is poor. However, I can even live with ranking them ahead of JSU in the drilling department based on the fact that they change their drills up a lot so that can affect execution. .....but JSU is no worse than the 4th or 5th band when it comes to drilling (only behind only TNSTate, SU, FAMU and possibly UAPB).

Yes, JSU has drilling...not the best but certainly better than Alcorn. I keep asking people to post a clip of a good Alcorn drill. I ain't seen one yet. However, someone is quick to find a bad JSU drill like vs Gram in 2007 in Jackson but still ain't seen ONE clip of a good Alcorn drill.

...and if all we have is sound, we will take that, cause ya'll have neither. At the same time, I must give Alcorn props on the complexity and length of their drills. It's just that your drills are very ragged and you walk instead of march. Alcorn does not march ten feet to the next line and stand still... at least they attempt to do a drill. We have bands in the MEAC who don't even attempt to do a decent drill, yet has something to say about JSU who drills to at least 3 songs per show. A&T did pick up on their drilling a LITTLE bit last year.

and...trp96.... BLAH!!!!!! no one cares what you say.

Thanks... we are one of the worst drilling bands in the SWAC but you ranked us #5....thanks. If a JSU hater ranks us #5 out of 10, we must be at least #2 or #3. So Grambling drills better than JSU? :lmao:

For the past 3 seasons they have been! Sorry if the truth hurts! JSU is sloppy at drilling, please don't make me post clips!

Dude, the more you criticize the BOOM, the more you admit to respecting and esteeming them.
Hell, no wonder SU folks get to Memorial stadium before JSU folks just so they can see the BOOM crank it up. It won't be no different in October '09. LOL!!

I'm just glad Lidell wasn't known for Stealing like some other BDs.

And bringin in folks from outside the Boom that I know of has only worked well with...Adams and Pops D...

02 we had assistant bd from Bama State come in he lasted a year
04 we had assistant bd from Gram come in that didnt worked

Paxton Girtmon wasn't from Grambling, he graduated from Northwestern in Natchitoches,LA and he didn't last when he went to Grambling so he went to Jackson and i guess he didn't last there also! lol
 
lol@ Dr. Liddell!! I love Lewis Liddell man. lol. No matter what... whenever you get a chance to sit down and listen to Doc talk. He's gonna have SOMETHING to say. :clap:
 
Liddell is my cousin and knows his music. He is not the most leveled-headed, but has a good heart. His wife is from Columbia, LA and a great lady!

He definitely knows his music. That is for sure. I used to enjoy auditioning for him for All-City band back in my HS days. He would have some sight reading selections for your arse. LOL.

Interesting cat to have a conversation with. He will definitely tell you what is on his mind and how he feels about something. Saw him 5 years ago at the Mall in Jackson and he still talked isht to me about his days at Provine during my time at C-way. That was our biggest band rival back then. They were the most disciplined band in the city. Mofos were scared to do anything wrong in that band. LOL.

I wish him well on his retirement.
